trying to do toc at the moment and im puzzled by how to get my mounted team on follow and assist working.

    i've read some guides and:

    /follow $leader
    /assist $leader

these dont work, just get unknown unit, yes i know leader will mean name of.

im told theres an addon for making use of macros inside vehicals that work? im using kc so im limited.

If you use IS Boxer, just about every vehicle will automatically follow the active toon.
Just get everyone mounted, and press your follow hotkey.
Or switch from one active toon, to a different active toon, if you have automatic follow on a character switch.

So far, the only one which has not auto followed (and "/Focus ToonName" -plus- "/Follow Focus" also failed here), is the quest where you become the giant in Zul'Drak, and need to kill 100 scourge plus the three named guys. Have done all the quests with vehicles through Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight and Grizzly Hills (most of the vehicle quests were dailies).

For every vehicle which follow works fine with, the vehicle attacks broadcast just by pressing their numbers, generally 1 through 6. And as always, the slaves automatically assist the current active character, just by pressing the attack keys.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

    I just use:

    /follow "mytanksname"
    /assist "mytanksname"

and make sure that key is on a bar that is visible during vehicle possession. You can set this in an addon like Bartender4.

A few days ago i started from scratch with my interface / keybindings and installed bartender4. Mainly for the jousting fest in ToC. All good, looks shiny and neat. I assigned 123-0 to my first bartender bar. Until i mounted the warhorse: none of my other bars were visible, only button 1-3 for the jousting were visible, nor was the dismount one. I only used 6 bars and didn't do anything special, while i took the time to read up on bartender, went through some config files, etc.

Deinstalled it the other day and went back to the standard wow action bars. In the end it's just a matter of removing some clutter from my bars.

There is an option for each bar in the Bartender menu that lets you choose if you want a bar visible or not when you're mounted in a vehicle.
