Tier 5, how?

I was checking the set bonuses for Tier 5 for hunters

it seems if you get just two pieces of Tier 5 you'll heal your pet of 15% of the damage you deal

I would REALLY like to get these to my three hunters (plus pally, druid)

the items required drop from Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye (25-man Burning Crusade raids)

is there other ways to get Tier 5 items (like buy the prerequisite items for Emblems), and more importantly, with a group of five, can I solo Serp. Cavern and The Eye at level 80 with full epics?

Why? The set bonus may be ok, assuming it's not all wasted on over heal, but the damage won't even compare the the increases your going to see on stats alone from proper level 80 gear.

for fun, keeping my pets alive and being different. gaming is not all about damage, it's about having fun the way you want.

agreed, DPS will drop severely but I can always use Equipment Manager.

No, the tokens only drop from the raids. Both being 25 man raids, you might be able to pull off 5 manning it with 5 geared/good players, but it is not likely to be multiboxable. The only comments I have seen is one about someone doing it with 9 ToC25-geared players.

Wouldn't bother with those items at all. The amount of healing they provide won't be enough to keep your pets up. Just learn how to prevent your pets from getting aggro and you should be fine.

The 2 piece bonus is not worth it. A group of 8 can solo kaelthas/lootreaver (chest/shoulders) I assume they can also solo most of SSC. Boxing lady vashj could be a bit confusing... especially if you have no experience with the fight pre-wrath.

Viable or not, some things are worth obtaining. I love my Ravager with my Blaze enchant,and the nifty stopwatch. Its items like these that stick around, and are worth getting so you can at least have some fun with them. Honestly the variations in unique items, like HoJ, just are not around anymore. Everything is so linear and that old trick up your sleeve is gone.
