    Default AOE usage

    Hi all,
so I have a pretty basic question, with you toons, how often would you use AOEs? I have 2 locks and a hunter and so wondering should I AOE group pulls or keep single targetting each mob until all are dead?
I am using ISBoxed and so I should be able to AOE target reasonably easily.
    Any insight?

With a warrior tank I DPS trash down one by one. If it is non elite trash and they somehow attacked the healer and dps toons then I AoE. Four AoE will kill anything non elite really fast. I have found that burning down eliete trash is really fast when done one by one.

If you fight Novos the Summoner in the Nexus instance he summons adds right inside of all your dps+healer toons. AoE is good for this. There are a few situations where AoE is the best call. So you better have it handy for when you need it. Keseleth also summons adds that need to be AoE downed.

I have AoE setup 2 ways. 1 button for all AoE and round robin AoE. Sometimes I don't need all 4 AoE's going at once and its better to preserve mana. My setup allows me to AoE and still do single target dps.

As to how to set up AoE's, check out Example F. http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=26231

I use AoE's whenever there are multiple mobs gathered.
It depends on the team, really.

With the Paladin/Shaman team, my AoE is centered on the Paladin.

With my mixed team, I have Holy Nova, Blizzard, Hurricane and Seed of Corruption.
The macro specifies to cast if [nochanneling], so I can spam away, without breaking the cast.
The druid's also specifies stance: 0, so I don't break out of bear/cat form to AoE.
I have Shadow Fury and Mass Dispel, on their own keybinds.

    Thanks
I read Ualaa's post previously on how to AOE in ISBoxer, just have not used it yet. I am thinking I will have both locks and my hunter AOE, just a little worried about aggro :P , I think it should be fine.
Fights like Novos should benefit from AOE I would think with all the mobs which come at you. Only issue I have found with that fight in the past has been mana usage. May wait till I am a bit better geared before I try him again lol

    I also AoE frequently.

    Paladin + 4x Shaman = easy AoE.

Unless I'm facing 1 mob (Boss fight), I'm using Magma Totem + Fire Nova, Chain Lightning, Consecration, Thunderstorm. Big groups die quick.

    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.
