So whats the point of JC? Cut gems seem to all sell for less then uncut or the difference is so small its not worth to get the scroll to make it. Im still making Necklace of the Deep for profit at 450 lol ....

And whats the point of Blacksmithing. Maybe the belt buckel and Iv had some sucess with tempered saronite armor but overall another fizzil.

And enginerring looks to be evern worse, and enchanting and glyphs dont seem a lot better.

First off, you do realize there are reasons to have tradeskills besides trying to DEATHWALKER the Auction House, right?

Engineering = pvp
Blacksmithing = awesome +sta upgrades
And you are seriously asking what the point of JC is? JC is one of the best all around professions right now.

But forget about that. I think you should reevaluate how you go about making money on the ah if you think those are all pointless. I've made a TON on JC alone. The key is to identify cuts that aren't common and keep the AH stocked with those, in addition to finding opportunities to sell the fast movers. In fact, I think with some clever play, you could sustain a 5box team on selling Runed Cardinal Rubies alone just on volume, and that's probably the weakest of my payoffs.

Well maybe your server is different on mine cardinal ruby is 168g and runed card ruby is 179. The spread is about the same for most else with 30g being the tip top on the 3 main gems.

Well eye of zhul might have some possibilities 194 for shining eye and only 102 for the eye itself ....

Guess I have to look for whats hot and whats not.


Of course enging is for pvp..... Im talking only for making gold as that was the thrust of the discussion so far.


BS is ok though just sold a suit of the tempered saronite armor (cost about 30G to make and sell for 100G each) so I guess there might be a possible profit there.

JC doesn't begin and end with cut gems. Prospecting cheap ore for gems at just about any level = $$. Prospecting titanium ore for epic gems and Titanium Powder = $$. Dailies for Dragon's Eyes = $$$. Even stacks of uncommon gems can bring in a pretty penny, or be burned with a surplus of Frozen Orbs for Icy Prisms. Crafted jewelry can be DE'd for enchanting mats to sell or sent to your enchanter to craft into Scrolls of Enchant * to auction. Crafted Epic jewelry is often in high demand when new pieces come out or as people are gearing up.

Now that I have wotlk on all accounts Ill be heading here and doing this, that should provide a ton of exp for my guys, even level 46's will get lots of exp with boost tagging (Pal grouped with 4 lowbies for tagging then the other 31 ungrouped to help kill the mobs insantly). Still working on the Win7 upgrade, found that you can't clone win7 64bit to other hardware so thats slowing me up a bit having to clean install on all computers. Also upgrading my last monitor (have 5 at 1920 X 1200 now) to 1920X1200.
