New Season=What strategy?

My team (minus the DK, who's close) is in full Deadly with Furious offsets with a sprinkling of the WG stuff on them. When the new arena season hits will Relentless be purchasable with Emblems of Triumph and the new season with Frost? Or will Relentless/New season be arena points only and Relentless be much lower rating required for it?

I can chain farm Heroics now (Thank you, 5x Quel'Delar!) but I don't want to blow the tokens needlessly.

In S8 Emblems of Triumph will buy S6/furious, Emblems of Frost will buy S7/Relentless, and S8/wrathful will be arena points only. Whats buyable with emblems never shifts with season changes (or hasn't yet in S5-S7)

Right, may as well get 5/5 furious if you arn't in that or better already. Personally I upgraded my remaining deadly pieces to furious with emblems over the weekend. Emblem farming is crazy now with the new dungeon finder, the teleport + bonus emblems really speeds things up

Badges always buy the same iLvl gear. Furious will always be triumph, deadly will always be conquest etc. Top level badges will always buy you PVP gear from the previous season. Only way to buy top end arena gear is from arena.

And yes badge farming is hilarious. 2 nights of the new badge system (all the time I could spend so far) has yielded 2/5 furious already. It's great.

Nice. I love the new system, especially the instant teleports back and forth if you need reagents and such.

So badge farming from heroics, basically gets a new team to the gear point where they can start to compete for the good stuff.
A whole lot faster then just running battlegrounds.

If you don't have any arena points then emblems may be the best option. I have about 2000 spare arena points however and have everything I want so far. I remember that last season the week before the change however they reduced the requirements for gear so that they became purchaseable. Considering that arena points will be wiped, I will be sure to cash them in on anything I can before the season ends, but I will wait untl that last week to see if any bargains come up again.

Any spare arena points can be exchanged for honor (if they aren't wiping honor next season) so that's always an option.
