I think i fail mostly with picking up my team as soon as he starts with pursuit or bombs. They are parked at the back and i tank him far away. So he yells 'take that one' and then runs right away to my team, i can hit follow or strafe them and try to pick them up, but at that point there is one already dead.

A video would be awesome. Didn't come across one on HC mode unfortunately.

If you have DBM installed and not sure without it but you do get something like a 5 second warning before he pursues the team member. I also park my toons at the beginning as far away as possible.
I have a dedicated follow button for my team also.

im currently doing this with my new melee team, with my previous ranged dps team i downed him in undera min on hc just from bursting.

but if your dps is not up to scratch then pop hero burst him should be down to 50-60% or so by time he starts casting something, start making a move before he starts casting, if hes arcane mines then keep running, after he will use poison nova so keep away. then go to him and do more dps. if he does persuit run ofc. if he does mines or nova repeat above. lots of running about and small chunks of dps.

you or someone mentiond about out running, well he actually does run quicker than your player i know this after alot of fails and learning him, so make sure you move before he does a move so you got a little more range. i've found lag has failed quite a few runs because they all die from nova, and i know i would of avoided it.

    good luck

He moves more slowly than your players when he is fixated on a target. This is a fact. You simply need to be faster and pay more attention. Everything he does has a cast time. If you start moving as soon as he starts casting, there should be plenty of time to run and pick up your characters and start going.

At first I found this boss really hard, even at normal! After reading through this thread.
Don't know exactly who said it, but some1 said to just take it easy on this boss.

You just have to understand how you can counter each of his attacks, and execute it at the right time.

    For example:
Poison nova => You have to be FAR away
    Laser barrage => Keep moving
    Persuit => Keep moving
Poison on the floor => Move

This is very basic and probly everyone knows this.
But as you know, for persuit and poison nova (something that can kill your team or an individuale instantly) can be avoided by standing far away from him.

    So what I do is:
    - Place my team far away from him (stacked)
    - Tank him in a direction so i can see my team easily
    - When he throws poison, just strafe to a side
    - When he does poison nova, just keep dps'ing and only move my tank
    - When he's going to persuit, keep dps'ing while running with my tank to my team
    - When he's about to finish his persuit, stop my team and move him away from my team with my tank
    - If he does laser barrage, again, run around, but make sure you are far away from him when he's about to finish.

Tbh, the key in this fight is to stay far away from him, even during and at the ending of his abilities.

I downed him with a team less then 4K gearscore, as you can see once again, GS isn't everything

    Hope this helps anyone!

then it must be my server its very laggy at the moment, hence FCM's

ive been going in a straight line and he has caught up and smacked my healer dead which i find utterly insane if he gimped.

ah well, funny ive been pro at this boss for few weeks, doing it in 50 seconds with my melee team in 4.2k GS only last night i failed 8 times because of nova. it has to be lag

    Few tips:
    • Always have nature resist totem up
    • Strafe INSTANTLY when you see he is throwing poison to your group. The initial hit does do dmg, but you can avoid all of it if you are fast enough.
    • Always be at max distance, so you wont get nova.
    • When he channels the arcane mine, strafe with your shamansl, and have your tank run trought group. When they are close enought to eachother, have the slaves follow the tank - and simply run with your tank where there are no mines.
    • I found it best to blow all the cd's in the start, (e.g trinkets, bloodlust(heroism), orc racial etc.)

Obviously I run shamans, with my Paladintank. But there are several ways to get resistance for both fights, drums, pots etc.
This boss is not hard when you know and don't fail at moving.

Have to ask what drums you're talking about and what pots lol... Lot of the drums aren't usable on 80's either.

Drums of gift of the wild or something? I already run 4 druids so got the pink paw covered. As for potions that provide nature resist- only one I know of are the junky nat resist pots where you're better off just drinking a runic healing pot.
But like many others have mentioned without shamans the nature dmg does too MUCH damage to outheal the spikey damage.

Guess it's time to level a shammie to have as an alt for my 1 pally 4 druid team, lol...
