I've been avoiding heroic Halls of Stone and Oculus, because in the past I have never come close to finishing Brann and Eregos. Not halfway, not a third of the way. When the heroic daily came up Sjonnir or the regular daily came up Ley-Enforcers, that was it for me for the day: no can do.
Now I have dungeon randomization dropping me into these instances and shouting, "RAAWWWR! ONE MORE! PUSH! PUSH! YOU CAN DO IT!" The teleport to and from means I don't spend a lot of travel time en route to these difficult dungeons, so it hurts a little less if I get stuck once I've arrived. The badge bonuses are huge and there's more incentive to just get on with it and kill everything.
The result: finished HoS! I don't think the Tribunal event will be much of a problem from now on: I get it now. Possibly as a result of being forced to learn this fight, I can now move my DPS and healer out of AOE damage like a champ. It's ninja multiboxing, it is. Also, I've done heroic Azjol-Nerub before but got through it by the skin of my teeth and decided I'd never go back. Naturally it came up in the random cycle, so I had to do it again, and like HoS, I get it now. Noooo problem.
OK, still haven't finished Oculus, but having to try it again means that I *almost understand how to pull this off. Eregos is doomed, eventually.
So yeah. I love this thing. And it earned me the badges to buy everyone new shoulders with spiky bits and red glows, so that's cool too.
