Initial set up issues Innerspace & ISBoxer

Hi all,

I am testing 5 characters on 1 computer and 2 screens. I have just installed Inner Space and ISBoxer. After following, to the letter, the initial set up procedures, I ran into issues.

When I run my team from Inner Space, it begins to load up the screens, then it all goes a bit odd. Two of the screens are locked into maximized mode, one of the screens does not initialize correctly, complaining about DirectX 9 not being installed, then it all goes haywire, both screens display nothing as Inner Space has somehow broken out of specified resolutions(getting them back into working order was fun).

I am going to run it again but I need to know what information is needed to help me debug the issues, as it is a one-shot deal at the moment.

People would need more info, OS, System Specs etc.
ISBoxer's wizard is excellent so I would think there is something in your setup that is causing an issue. Post details and you will get help ;-)

InnerSpace requires you to install directx9c I think. I can't tell from your description what is wrong exactly, but I suspect it has to do with the drivers or directx.

Ok great. Here are the details that I have.

System as follows:-
ASUS Rampage Motherboard.
Creative X-Fi Sound card.
2 x Nvidia GTX 295 graphics cards.
12GB RAM.

Drivers as follows:-
DirectX 9c
Nvidia drivers 185.85

IS set up as follows
Each monitor runs on a separate graphics card.
The primary monitor is 1920 x 1200. (1920 x 1200 monitor).
The secondary monitor is split into four 800 x 600 screens. (1600 x 1200 monitor).

I have made no special changes to the initial IS/ISBoxer set up.
I created the characters and character set.
Set CPU cores to screens, 4 cores to primary, 1 core to each secondary.
Created Window Layout, assigned character set and character slots.

Do you need any further information?

You don't need DirectX 9 for IS Boxer, but there was a Direct X element, which needed to be installed (link on the IS Boxer wiki page) for it to run properly.
