Just to point out, the guide posted above is incorrect on quite a few points, so let me clarify:

The friendly npcs will ONLY attack:

    Deathbound warders
    other SPAWNED mobs
If you notice when you go in, until you kill the first 2 skeletons, other skellies come out of the door every minute or so, these are spawned, and the npcs will kill them. If you kill them, they give no rep. The NPCs will attack these, and the big guys - they will NOT help with any other mobs.

The frost guys are the biggest pain. Make sure they are not facing your group, as their aoe is frontal, and will destroy anyone in its path.

Every mob minus the wards are fully stun/interruptable. Paladins are quite amazing here honestly.

The spiders cast a web wrap on people. which is interruptable. The web wrap is a 9 second stun. The wrap itself can be destroyed to free the person inside, but it cannot be trinketed/EMFH/etc:d out of.

Setting up your toons on the stairs at an angle (to the left or right of the doorway), and using the doorway to los/kill stuff in the doorway is a great way to farm rep. The doorway is a reset, so even if things go south and your tank dies, the mobs reset once they try to run after your group.

I did NOT find that hitting the 'reset instances' button reset the trash for me. I just reformed my raid every run.

You can 5 man the first two rooms easily. I'm almost honored on my team. My advice is only do the first room, then reset. It's faster and easier, as the second room of pulls kind of sucks.

First pull - grab 2 door mobs, smash them to bits.

Move up to the stairs, set up at an angle. Pull the 3 skeletons running across the room. SMash them to bits.

throw something at the frost guy standing either to the left or right. Los him and his 4 skeleton buddies to the doorway (stand just a bit outside until you get him out). Make sure he is NOT facing your group. If you are a lucky bastard with a paladin, don't forget your aoe undead stun - it's amazing. Smash these 5 mobs to bits.

    Repeat for the other side.

For the next pull, the guys in the center, I do it in two spurts. First I avengers shield so it hits the leftmost or rightmost spider. This will hit spider, frost guy, spider. Then I run the two melee skeletons to the door and smash them to bits. Then I run out the door, and reset the two spiders and frost guy. Then I run back in, repeat the avengers shield, and then los them to the doorway like I did with the first caster, again making SURE that they do not face my team. Kill the spiders first, as they heal, and also the stuns get very annoying very fast. Remember you can inturrupt their heals.

Next on both sides is a spider that is a single pull, and 4 skeletons that can be single pulled, but I just grab, and either 1 or 4 come.

Pull stuff to door, kill it, and at this point I just reset, as all the pulls up to now were pretty easy, but from here on in they get annoying.

You can easily do friendly in around 2-3 hours this way.

Can't seem to find the info but is trash from ICC 10 and 25 dropping BOEs of the appropriate level?
In normal, heroic or hard modes (if affirmative answer)?

    Thank you

It does seem that ilvl 264 are dropping on 10 man normal trash but I cant find a comprehensive list of the items that drop, wowhead and wow armory dont seem to show the items clearly. If anyone does have a list of these items that can drop from 10 man trash Id be very interested to see it

I can't remember where i found this (probably on wowhead somewhere), but the chap who linked it said to ignore the fact it says 25, and I would tend to agree.

    Thats great thank-you

I wonder if its intentional on Blizz part for the ilvl 264 to drop in 10 man also

Nice, gonna have to try this.

edit: Ok did the room 1 trash a couple of times tonight. Wasn't too bad, but I doubt I will be able to down a ward. I got one to about half and my healer ran out of mana. Was a interesting change for me, since I never really even enter the raid instances.

So I have been very slowly farming the rep and I figured I would share the strat I used to kill a Deathbound Ward with my team. It's not pretty, but it worked for me (at least once!).

I run a group of five: prot paladin, ele sham, boomkin, mage, holy priest. I am not that well geared, I have 2xT8 and 1xT9 and a mishmash of L200 to L219 gear.

The biggest problem I had with the Deathbound Wards was that my priest was running out of mana at about 30% mob health. Thus, my tank dies. I have a spam heal key that is shared with my spam DPS key for heailng. Not sure if this is the ideal way to do it, but the wards hit pretty hard and it makes it easier for me to focus on other things.

So, what I did was just force my boomkin to stand there and do nothing instead of DPSing (I do toss on IFF, ISS and Moonfire first though). When my priest got to <10% mana, I swapped in my macro key for spam healing the tank on my Boomkin. The heals then commence. I am sure if you're dual spec resto it would work far better, but I am not...but that may change soon.

Adding in the boomkin healing gives me enough healing to live through the fight and kill the ward. The ward is at about 30% life when I switch healing over to my boomkin. The DPS loss isn't a big deal since the friendly NPCs join in the fray.

The ugly part is that you MUST make sure you avoid the Shout the ward casts by jumping. If I miss once and my casters are silenced or locked out or whatever it does, I will probably live only if I have Divine Protection or Lay on Hands up, but if not or if I miss jumping more than once, I most likely would die.

Anyway, it's kind of ghetto but it worked for me at least once =) Hopefully I can keep it up. I have a feeling the L264 epics only drop from these guys...but not certain yet.

for 10 man it's about 890 rep for a full clear to first boss.
25m yields slightly more. Obviously more for humans.
    GL farming rep and epics!

If i remember right, there was a hotfix on the eu servers, that will keep the trash from respawning. So no rep grinding for me -.-
