Default What is the point of 10 boxing? Curious

Raiding 10 man content? Wouldn't moving everything you need to for a lot of fights be kind of...erm...difficult?

    Fun.

And yeah, it's hard. Many hobbies are.

    That is the challenge.

A lot of people think that 5-boxing is impossible.

10 boxing is to see what you can do.
There isn't a lot of current 10-man content that you can "solo".
But there is a lot of legacy content you can try.

You could do dailies with 10.
    Instead of with five.
Basically two concurrent groups at once.

I'd imagine battlegrounds/world pvp would favor more toons.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I'm in the process of finishing up my 10man team to start doing 10mans for shits and giggles. Then dailies + bgs

As a former pve 10 Boxer I did 6 raid Bosses by myself (Naxx+VoA) in 2 weeks of tries.
Half of the group was still in blues/heroic purple mix and that was in the very beginning where my best half (5m group) was fully geared heroic/emblem of heroism/craft gear with 0 raid items. The rest of Naxx, I 9 to 6 box during that period.

I felt that I could really do more than that. Today it'd be much easier since you can easily (with heroics) overgear Naxx.

It's a lot of fun, and like any other "size" of multiboxing you have to adapt and find out the best strategy since the "normal" raid strategy seldom wok.

But it's just too much work tbh. If I had a lot of free time, no family nor a job I'd still be doing it

I wouldn't mind 10+boxing if I had the $$, time, and rigs to do it. End goal for me tho would be to raid capital cities by myself and run my own BGs like AV and WG. If Blizzard would remove or adjust the xp gimp from raids, and increase the 'party size' from 5 to 10, I'd be inclined in the future to try it. I often think of how fun it would be to /walk thru the capital cities with an army of 35 Affliction Locks + 5 Disc Priests casting DoTs and Holy Nova while the FelGuards/Voidwalkers wreak havoc and tank all that dare approach.
