Take Maxion for example - he cleared HToC 1 day after dinging 80, and got something like 20+ heroic acheivements over the next 3 days .... what a jerk! (just kidding max where's my hidef HToC video?? )

I love theorycrafting, but it hasn't actually helped me much ... the sad truth for me is that I just need to get better (more practice, less theorycrafting). There's guys here that are doing things (like Kromotor @ 2200+ rating by himself) that continue to amaze and motivate me. You can rock pretty much any comp you come up with (as long as it has a shamn in it ).

Skill helps but your class combination is a huge factor as well until you overgear the content.

And Maxion has a pally and a shaman. Not taking anything away from Maxion, very impressed by what he managed to achieve but you cannot just ignore the class synergy and suitability to boxing. Would he have been able to achieve the same in the given period given a DK or Warrior tank and without a Shaman in the group?

And you think he could have done this with any group composition? Skill is a large part of it but some classes are just not viable. What people achieved with Shaman in BC versus the change in dynamic in WotLK clearly shows that skill alone does not make any class combination viable.
