Default Technet Plus Subscription - are there any issues with this?

I have about 9 computers and I would like to have Window 7 on all of them. Is a technet plus subscription a good idea for me? I know they say the OS's are for evaluation purposes but what is to stop me from just getting this so I can have windows 7 on all my PC's for a sub that only costs $250?

So you're going to "evaluate" them for a long period of time.

Do it. Keep in mind you only get 10 activations (installs) per CD KEY for the OSes.

I have Technet for this purpose. It gives you all the Microsoft products and once the subscription expires the keys are all still valid. You get 10 keys for every variation of Windows 7, so more than enough. You all get the office suite.

OP/Crowdx: Technically you are breaking the licence if you do that as you are no longer evaluating but using.

Technically that sort of discussion isn't allowed on DB forums.

    BS!.

You have to evaluate how each and every WoW patch will run under the new operating system.

    I really like that interpretation.

Besides, Microsoft has posted, they'd rather people do ongoing evaluations of their software, through this program, then just pirate the software elsewhere.

I second this - MS employees have (unofficially) stated this on technet forums.

I intend to to keep my subscription and I do a lot of installs/different setups so I am not breaking the licensing..

The alternative would be to buy 3 family packs at $150/ea

$450 for 9 (fully legit) installs of Win7 VS $350 for a 1 year Technet sub with 10 "long term" evaluations.

Fortunately for me, I only have 3 Windows computers. Software is just too damn expensive.
