My PTR Experience with the Random Dungeon finder

So, night before the patch should go live, I figured I'd check out the random dungeon tool.

So the trick to easy money / extra badges for us multiboxers is quite easy.

Log in your team, get them all in the group, and hit "i" to open the Dungeon Finder. select the role for your main (I selected tank since my main is my tank) Just like queing for a BG hit "Join as Party" A window will pop up on all your alts asking them what role they want. I tried this a few times, not selecting a healer, not selecting a tank, and all it did was sit me in a que and the que never popped, so I assume you want to set these to where you have a tank, healer, and dps roles selected so the que pops. Less than 10 seconds my last toon selected their role the que popped. So this is REALLY easy for us to get extra badges. You get emblem of frost x2 and 26g for the first random heroic, the next time, you get 2 Emblem of Triumph extra and 13g .

When the que pops, you will see a window letting you know and when you click on enter, you'll instantly port inside the dungeon. You don't know the dungeon until you port in. When you port in you get a Dungeon Cooldown debuff that lasts 15 minutes. So if you don't want to the dungeon you can just wait out the debuff and try again. Every time you run a dungeon this way, each toon gets an extra 2 badges. The first time you do it you'll get 2 of the ICC raid emblems, emblems of frost.

Do Emblems of Triumph drop off of the bosses in this "random" mode still?

Dropped badges should be the same as always. The PUGfinder bonuses are just that, bonuses. Or, free candy for multiboxers in our case.

Triumph emblems for all heroic bosses now.

2 x Frost emblems for completing the first random heroic.
2 x Triumph emblems for completing each random heroic thereafter.

Conquest emblems can be obtained by trading in triumph emblems (1:1 ratio).

So basically it's now free t9 instead of free t8?

Sweet.

So now t7 and t8 are being officially phased out of the game?


Edit: According to MMO-Champion... it's 2

• The Heroic Wrath of the Lich King Daily Random Dungeon option will award two Emblems of Frost no more than once a day.
• The normal Wrath of the Lich King Daily Random Dungeon option will award two Emblems of Triumph no more than once a day.
• Continuing to complete Wrath of the Lich King Heroic instances using the Daily Random Dungeon option will award players two additional Emblems of Triumph each time.
• Daily Heroic and normal dungeon quests have been removed. These quests have been replaced with weekly raid quests (see the “Quests” section for details).
• Level-appropriate rewards will be offered to players who choose the Random Dungeon option for pre-Wrath of the Lich King dungeons.
• Players can be placed in a group for a random dungeon no more than once every 15 minutes.
• Random Dungeon rewards will be placed in each player’s inventory automatically upon completion of the dungeon (final boss killed). A pop-up notification will display any rewards earned through the Dungeon Finder.

Yeah, free T9. There's a thread up about it somewhere. No free T10, but a win for us all the same.

3 pvp bosses (10/25) = 10
naxx10/25 (16 each) = 32
Ulduar10/25 (18 each iirc) = 36
Os10/25 (4 each) = 8
Maly 10/25 (2 each) = 4
50 per day from REGULAR heroics + 2 from heroic random daily = 52
TOC 10/25 (15 each) = 30

So that brings us to a total of... 172 for only 1 day of heroics + raids

7 days of heroics ONLY = 350~

5 pieces = 4 days worth or so... thats pretty stupid. So 8 days worth for full furious + full t9 main set.

Yeah you can get it pretty fast if you have the time and expertise.
