Default 5 boxing on a Laptop?

I am not very familiar with computer specs terms but I would like to 5 box using Keyclone on an HP elitebook 8510w that runs Windows Vista Professional. I haven't bought any additional hardware so far so I only have 2 GB of RAM and I'm not too sure about the rest. Does anyone have suggestions? Would it be possible to 5 box on this or do I have to buy a desktop computer with a lot of RAM?

I may be wrong, but 5 Boxing on a laptop would be extremely intense. And probably not the best idea.

I started 3 boxing on my laptop, and now I can barely play WoW at all. (I am pretty sure I fried the GPU).

Your best route is to go the desktop route.

Especially in vista it will be VERY intense. You could 4 box @ medium to low settings... but whats the fun in that?

Up until a month ago I was 5 boxing on this while working away from home:

Put 4 Gig of ram, vista ulitmate 64 bit on it. I of course had all slaves settings turned all the way down, and medium settings on main. Was acceptable (to me anyway) and had no problems boxing all heroics with no or minimal lag. Did not try any battlegrounds with it, and Dalaran was a pain so I just stayed away from it for the most part.

Just picked this up last month:

This is fantastic for laptop boxing. All settings high, main on highest. No lag in Dal, out in the world typically have between 80-120fps on main, and have slaves capped at 30fps. Have been doing AV on my new shammy PVP team and having a blast. For the price, you could of course get a more powerful desktop, but I needed something to take with me while working away from home.

I guess my long rant does not really answer your question, I was just pointing out that MB'ing on a laptop is more than doable.

So it would be possible to do it if I had 4gb of RAM and upgraded to a 64 bits OS? What about 4 boxing in the battlegrounds with low settings on the slaves?

Yeah, I was gaming great on a dell studio XPS13 flawlessly @ 40fps and decided to upgrade...

Bought an Alienware m15x and all I can say is DO_NOT_BUY_THIS_LAPTOP_FOR_MULTIBOXING

Dont get me wrong, it can play a solitary game incredibly well (posting 100fps for majority of current games with max settings) but when I was running my Quad-Box setup, it couldnt even post the framerates at lowest settings that my XPS13 was getting due to downclocking issues with the video card.

And btw I did an extensive amount of troubleshooting on the issue, take a look here:
