What I'm saying is the blizzard dungeon tool sucks for random heroics for a 5 shammy group. Since you must select your "role" for each toon, the tank icon is greyed out, so by not having a tank for the group, it will reject the group saying it's not a viable group.
You reread MY post. All I'm saying is that non-viable doesn't mean what Blizzard thinks it means.
I really like the new tool, especially the instant porting saves so much time.
I just wish Blizz had been a bit more generous when they did upgrade their instant server capacity a while back.
I am getting full slots almost all day and even these things will ease out over time it still annoys me to pieces
Random is not bypassing heroic lockouts - FAIL
Contrary to what blizzard blue postings state, the random heroic instance feature is not bypassing heroic instance lockouts. If you've already done a heroic for the day, and you later get a random heroic for that instance, you are screwed. The bosses will be non-existent.
I'm hoping this is an isolated glitch, or else a known bug, and is not now intended to be the way things work.
I did heroic Nexus earlier, and just now got Nexus as the random heroic. I ported in, cleared trash to Omorok, only to discover Omorok was MIA, backtracked and Keristraza MIA also.
I'm hit or miss on this one. One instance we only missed one boss, but had the last boss. Another one had no bosses at all. Still another ran perfectly normal.

If you ONLY use the LFG tool, and do not do any outside of it, it works as intended. But if you do them outside of LFG random heroic then you can run into problems.

Not true. I did first boss Oculus, since that's fast...with lfg.
Got into it latet and thought, ok i can do first boss fast again...Wasnt there, just like every other instance is bugged when you do it with same grp....Even had first AND second boss spawning in pit, but last boss missing, and the 'event' was missing...
So its bugged.
I would still call a 5x dps group "non-viable" for a traditional PUG. Imagine if you were playing a solo shammy and got grouped with 4 more ele shaman..... even if they COULD do it, I doubt the group would be excited for it, and getting totems organized would be a nightmare...
I'm just going to run them with a tank for simplicitys sake, and if I feel like doing 5 shaman heroics, Ill fly there myself.
The 'town portal' feature is really handy, esp when going through the new instances (i.e. wiping a bunch).
If you park your toons next to a repairer before you port into a dungeon, you can port out mid instance, repair straight away and port back in. Who needs repair bots?
Also handy if you forget to stock up on reagents before heading into an istance...
