Mage boostign madness.

got my mages to 16 today.

SFK = shit. Stupid agro on entrance, random patrols/spawns, magic immune mobs, and low density of mobs. Don't waste your time here if youre mage or lock.

I found sfk to be quite good. 70 mage boost the then 18-23 mage. But I tend to aoe groups of 4 or 5 at a time aoe, loot and move on. That slows each run to about 20 min, but I'm not interested in speed. AFter 3 clears, warp out sell, repair (4 20 slot bags on mage), the lowbie kept some trash and useful equip/mats. And I think it's hard to beat the sfk courtyard for number of mobs and ease of aoe meltdown. Do the whole courtyard which is what 30 mobs? I can't do the same technique in SM too many hits on an arc/fire mage. I wasn't skinning, too much time/space, and some bad lag, initially. My lowbie mage is an ench, so every green is a blessing for mats. And it might take me 6 months to get to 70, not likely, but I'll get there. There's no time crisis in my eyes. Now, BFD I found was not as good for mob density, not to mention the near 3 min corpse run. New setup of shammies, hopefully i can beat any potential wipe, then res

i got a 70 prot pally.. im trying to boost ZF right now and i cant get passed the healing totems, ive tried to have the lower levels take em but its just too much. do you guys have suggestions for lvl 42 boosting to 45?

Just wanted to add (installed an exp mod (XPRatePlus)) that AOE boosting with a mage and 1 alt in Death's Door in Blade's Edge will net your alt lev 60+ about 100k exp an hour

Skuggo the spec I use on my mage when im power leveling is: 27 Fire 34 Frost. You should give it a try having blazing speed absolutely owns lol.

I have been planning on trying this method as soon as my initial 3 chars make it to 70. I have a couple questions about the 40+ levels though. I've read that ZF is best from ~40-50.

• How do you manage to do ZF with a mage with all the ranged/casters there? Do you use blizzard or just AE/CoC/Blast Wave?

For 50+ ive heard doing something like LBRS with a 70 Warrior is best. This is confusing because I cant see how a warrior could kill things quickly enough at all. Cleave hits two targets, WW hits only 4 still. How are you pulling so much and what is the purpose when you can only hit 4?

• Would a hunter work for 50+ in LBRS or eventually Ramparts?
• Also, do you think a hunter would work in ZF from ~43-50? Quick kills instead of AoE.

Right now I am leveling three characters on a new server: Hunter, Druid, and Mage. They are 40 right now. After they hit 70 I will be boosting 3 Shaman. Basically, i'm trying to figure out what classes are capable of doing this 45+ and what the best way to go about this is.

• Is there anything besides a Warrior that works for instance grinding 45+?

depending on booster and class being bosted, I like SFK 12-23 you can almost pull the whole instance by having a 12 stand next to wall and argo all to the court yard. real fun
