Thanks for the info - Can you please post your spec on the pally? I find it hard to get heals of with my prot specced pally and I end up having to have my shamans heal me on the pulls - which makes it tough - and can be deadly if there are casters outside of conc.

Also - Could you indicate roughly where you place the characters beeing bosted for each pull? And where is the fight spot? Always at number 5?

and as far as positioning goes... just make sure they are in range for xp, and far enough away that they wont pull aggro... also out of range so when you bubble, the mobs dont see them, otherwise some smart-arse mob will go running off and kill your slaves.

And yeah, I thought aggro when bubbling was limited to if they had healed or DPSed, so happily bubbled just a few feet away - Boom, dead shammies :P

Just wanted to add my own experience with mage-boosting (and thanks for the article Skuggo). A couple of things which are nice to know: Boosting with 4 lowbies is faster than boosting with just one. Your spec doesn't matter much in RFC/DM, but I tried a few different ones in SM before I got it right. I ended up with:

I also tried a Blazing Speed spec (0/27/34) but found I often got close to running OOM due to lack of Magic Absorption. I also tried deep arcane (40/0/21), which worked well, but it's soo much easier with Ice Barrier. Ice Barrier and Magic Absorption are definitely key talents imo.

I used a strategy which is a bit different from Skuggos, but very viable. I'd do the same pulls, but instead of nova/coc/ae/ae etc., I'd use the good old Dire Maul technique. For those mages who didn't get to level on the lashers in there, its basicly just nova/run or blink/back up while casting shield/blizzard/blizzard/blizzard (need Permafrost and imp blizzard and no points in frost bite for this to work). I don't mind posting a video if anyone is interested (shoot me a PM if so). Also, leave a few casters (2-3) alive after you pull a bunch of mobs, they'll be chasing you around and casting - you'll be resisting and gain mana from magic absorption. This way you'll be full mana all the time - usually I can do the whole cath/armory without drinking at all. Cathedral takes 8-9 mins, armory 5-6 mins. At 39 my group was getting 70k/hr and I reached lvl 40 with 13-14 hours played. This was while boosting a friend, so my alts were on follow on him and I didn't have to worry about looting or positioning my alts - otherwise it would have taken longer.

I have a 33 pally atm, and my buddy has a 70 mage (T5 mostly, 1000+ spell dmg), I ran SFK and RFK using him while the pally was /following.
Now I would like to try SM and maybe ZF but because he's raiding I can't respec him to frost or arcane, he's 2/48/11 (2 in arcrane subtetly in arcane and icy veins and some imp frostbolt and stuff in frost talents), so, what is the best way I should pull and kill the mobs? What do you think?

However cath totally sucked, I pulled half of what you pull and I was near death, the cathedral itself was horrible, when I tried to pull it at once, then ice block and frost nova I got instagibbed

I might be reading you wrong, and if I do, I apologize. But the way I understood your post, you are using your buddys lvl 70 mage, to boost your own char on /follow.

It might seem like a good deal, to borrow someone elses account and boost. But accountsharing is against the ToS, and thus you should be aware you're jeopardizing both your own account and his account. It might end in a ban.

For instance, if you run both accounts on the same computer at the same time - then they will most likely be flagged automatically for investigation. Any PC has a unique ID-tag that is very easy to read (basicly you just ask for it) and if 2 accounts are played at the same time with the same ID - well, you do the math.

I encourage you to play your own accounts only, and I ofcourse hope you wont get into trouble.
