Mage boostign madness.

Ok Im up to ZF now with my guys.....Just wondering is there a AOE Guide for a mage for Pulling Packs of 20+ Mobs.

ZF is a bad place to try to aoe pull, there are too many ranged and the totems are kind of annoying too. ST I've found is much better, you just have to look out for the non elite lil imps resetting and going after your boosters. I usually round up a bunch of elites, ice block, frost nova, blink, blizzard(improved blizzard is magical). I can do about 4 groups if dragons in ST easily. It also helps a ton to have ice barrier if your mage is under geared.

Cool thanks for telling me hehe just wipped due to the facted i got turned in to a frog! lol Just wondering could you think you could give me some tips on pulling in ST.....As in what floors to pull and mobs Ive never done it ....And yea my mage is 5/5 Veng I am arcane/frost got Imp Blizzard aswell

If you haven't been there before it can be kind of a maze. There is a top level that has 6 mini bosses on it that have to all be killed to open up a room, then that room has to be cleared to kill the end boss. If you just care about exp you might not go after the last boss, but he does have some good drops.

The best way to clear the top is to just spam AE rank 1, until you get to a mini boss, you will do this 6 times, and you mainly do it to unlock the big room that is great for aoe grinding. This is my main trick for aoe grinding, that way I can keep my alts on follow and if they aggro anything they will just get caught up in the aoe.

Once all 6 mini bosses are down, you jump down and start in on the dragons. First pull leave your alts up on the platform. Then round up 3 groups, ice block, frost nova, blizzard. bring your alts down and repeat for the other 8-10 groups. There is one group of dragons down a hallway, that only becomes an issue if you go to the final boss. This right here is probably your fastest exp grind. you could just run in do this and reset. You can probably do 5 groups at a time, but I would start with 3 to get your technique down, and to see how hard they hit.

Once all the dragon groups are down, there is a big room of undead with a boss at the end of the room. Same thing, Block, nova, blink, blizz. These guys hit kinda hard, but you should be find with your pvp gear. You can do this in 2 pulls comfortably, maybe one. Ton of exp here. Don't try to get the boss with your big pull, he can do some annoying things(don't remember what).

From here you will have some big dragons flying around you can take out and the final boss. If you see a hallway with windserpents down them skip those hallways you need a quest to unlock that boss.

GL, also make sure your alts are close enough to get exp, I had some issue with that because the place is so big. And one talent that I love is magic absorption, I resist most spells and never go oom on these big pulls because the casters are feeding me mana. Let us know how it goes.

WELCOME TO ZF!

Having done both Mage aoe and Warlock SoC aoe for boosting. I have to say I prefer Mage... by far. Both are T6 geared, but SoC aoe is just annoying.

Pre 2.3... boosted my priest 1-60 in 3 days 9 hours played. This was about a month after TBC release, so mage was wearing lvl 70 instance blues.

Instances went like this (give or take a couple levels):

RFC 8-16
SFK 16- 24
RFK 24-27
SM 28-40
ZF 40-47
BRD 47-54
Strat Live 54-58
Hellfire Quests 58-60

I'd love to try it as a paladin! Hopefully soon!

I find ZF very very annoying due to the fact i know i can pull the instance in atleast 4/5 pulls but what sucks is that the hex is random....same thing in ST they hex aswell pulling small mobs makes me feel weak due to the fact my gear is great and i have 4 resto shammys healing me were's our resist ! lol

P.S How about Uldaman Is it any good for a mage.

Got myself a new technic go respec arcane/fire and AOE Blast and just spam heal on myself while my grounding totems are down By the time i get below 70% health they are dead.
