Lol what is that pic of? cabbage with tin foil?

I think when I made my Shaman vidoes there were a few pieces I wanted to keep under wraps at the time. Positioning was a huge important factor and the biggest weakness of the comp was getting rushed, the more the opposing team played defensively the easier it was to win a game. Building the hype on the Shaman team actually proved very fruitful since some teams were so timid they lost as soon as the gates opened.

This comp is all about offensive rushing, the only holes that I would not want to show is being effectively CC / kited, limit that out of the video and it should be fine.

I agree he has nothing to gain from posting a video... In game. I feel like this community exists to help better everyone involved. It's tantalizing to see his results and to actually get so little information about how it's achieved.

Private arena forum section where verified arena boxers can share strat info/videos would be good. 30,000+ forum "members" and maybe 20-30 or so boxers actively pursuing arena = hrrmmm..... I am probably keeping my rogue progress hush hush (limited to private talks) unless something like this is instituted. Sharing videos may not be life or death but everything helps. Mystery is your friend.

Sooooo Ellay... What can you do for us vis a vis a private forum for pvp stuffs? If it allows everyone the peace of mind they need to share macros, videos, etc etc then I'll put whatever time into it is necessary to make it work.

I am not so sure about hiding information from the rest of the community. How can you verify or decide who to be put into this special pvp group. I doubt that any solo players will concern about fighting boxers enough to come and read boxing forums. People who are here are all with some interests in boxing. This is not the "xzin high warlord" age where people have no clues about boxers.

As for strategies, there are nothing more you can do than 5 individual players playing. People all know what you have. 1DK + 4 paladins, it is so obvious that you are going to zerg them. People expect you to use all your skills before you go down. So there is no reason to hide information like that. With interact with target, I don't see any positions either. They all just run around in circles. People beat boxers not because they have read our forums. They beat us because they have played us enough to know what will work.

A perfect example is asonimie's focus burst macro. I don't see how solo players will beat us by knowing that we are using this macro. They still don't know who we are bursting. All they know is that our current target might not be the one we are going to take down.

The only thing i see with private forum is to hide information from other boxers where you have reached certain ranks and others can't until they have figured things out.

Just showing someone's UI could be enough. Knowing if they have buttons for so-and-so might be sufficient enough to give an edge. /shrug

This is the case nowadays, because shamans aren't as viable anymore and we aren't a threat for the gladiator title. If I hypothetically get my rogues to 2600 and start stealing gladiator titles from other players, I guarantee there will be huge target on our heads again and a decent forum QQ uproar.

Sorry most of the people who pvp alot dont seem to agree with you. I dont see to many people saying hey here are my 5v5 losses. Why ? Because there *IS* information in the videos that will / could be deterimental to your "edge". There is really no reason a new person who joined two weeks ago needs arena tactics from others. I talked to super and with some of his stipulations it sounded good and relatively safe. Gurb on the other hand told me this isnt elitsts jerks. I don't feel that this is anything elitists. I would say if you can prove that you have a 3-4-5 box team @ level 80 you should be welcome to view others tactics and tricks. But letting every joe blow that can /register is not the secure option. I mean it's not going to affect me I can use PM like a champ and most people have been kind enough to respond. Others have stated that they will *not* post tactics openly anymore. So whos really being hurt by not having this, the answer is if your interested in arena tactics.. you are.

The teams will figure out how to exploit and counter you just by playing them multiple times. There's really not much to learn about beating a shaman team, but I can imagine if a new comp comes along that's a big threat, putting up a video tutorial or posting macros - you can be certain your opponents will read it.

Yeah 100% true, not saying there are not counters or counters would not be developed. But its like having quest helper.. it's there why not use it =).

You can still do the quests without it, but it just makes it so much easier.
