Thread: 4 or 5 rogues?

I went with 5 rogues. Adding a healer seems like a LOT of extra work and keybinds + it`s hard to keep control on him because sometimes you want to him to stay in stealth and so and that takes some extra work. Going out of range and so.

My 5 rogues are currently only in lvl1 gear with 2 heirbloom weapons at 60 in the outlands but they die a lot without the gear haha.

FoK was a gimmick against all/mostly caster compositions.
It is still an ok method to spread your poisons across a group.

You have the option of Combat for Killing Spree + Blade Flurry, which should destroy 1-2 toons in close proximity.

Mutilate/Preparation is probably a better build; you don't need to be behind them.
With Cold Blood, that's 8 automatic critical hits on one target.
And four combo points per rogue.

You apply Crippling, Deadly or Instant, Mind Numbling and Wound Poison to anyone you attack.

Cloak + Vanish, will let you reacquire stealth some of the time.
Dismantle destroys melee opposition, and you'll have this on round robin.
Blind is a very strong CC, provided your allies don't break it.
Between Kick and Kidney Shot, casters will hate you; possibly the BE silence too.

Definitely a lot of toys and burst.

If you run with a druid healer in arena, you open with a sap, the burst one down(should be possible), then move to kill a second or vanish and reset your fight. Then repeat and your druid joins the fight with a cylone and needed heals.
After that you still have cloak of noobs and vanish to survive some inc damage. You will also have 4 blinds which you could target to arena frames.

I think once you master the rogue`s they can be very strong. Bad part of a paladin team seems that they need to rush in, every team knows what will happen. Rogues seem to offer more options to start and do a fight. Bad part is that they don`t have own heals and can die faster.

By just looking at the skills it looks like it has arena potentional, the future will show if they have.

i think the gates going up and no targets on gladius is a dead goveaway of what's going to happen too, you will get people sittin in aoe forcing you to CoS before you fight or trying to get lucky with consecrate ticks.

But, it also means you may get people spreading out anticipating rogue aoe making them more vulnerable to a single burst attack away from healers a bit.

The more i think of this group the more i like it.
In arena some classes will pull all (or most of ) the rogues out of stealth at the same time (If they even get a glimpse of one). Mainly other rogues with FoK or a warlocks shadowfury, but that's probably going to be rare enough to not worry too much about it.

Oh - and my 4 warlock 1 priest team will be next. And after that.........

Will be doing 4 warlocks and a priest.
Have them made already, and guilded.
In the process of transfering gold to them (opposite faction).

I'm thinking of going 4x rogues, with Worgren in cataclysm.
And am trying to hold off until then.
But the temptation is definitely there, to level them now.
