    Question PvP Advice

I already got one team up to 80, Hunter, Paladin, Lock, Druid and a Shaman.. now I have rerolled on horde with 3 orc shammies, prot pala and a belf disc priest.

I'd like to run bg's for fun once 80, rather than just run instances.. my question is how do you deal with it when a char dies and gets released to a different area, then your group then consists of other players?

I use Jamba ,keyclone with click to cast macros and have it running on assist party1.. paladin at the front for now.. I do have someone that could heal manually for me if needed.

I have looked at isboxer and it makes my brain hurt.. would love it to work, but for me atm it's a bit over my head.

    Any advice appreciated

    Don't die. Haha.

Seriously tho, it happens and you either just desert the guy if he's too far away and deep behind enemy lines or you leg it and run him back.

That said, you will get so good at boxing, you'll be able to guard two bunkers simultaneously. THAT is fun! Positioning my two shammies just behind the flag so when rogues jump me - THUNDERSTORMGOBYEBYEx2. This is the most you can do at first, when you're 71 and in garbage greens. When you are geared at 80, I understand why people QQ. A geared boxer is a deadly mofo!

Don't wait till 80. There is much you can do to support on the way up. Who cares how much people jeer you. When you hold a tower by thunderstorming rogues, you will be doing your part. Plus its great practice and more importantly great fun!

EDIT: I paid for both keyclone and ISBoxer and perfer ISBoxer. The window switching RULES. When someone picks off your current toon, you can switch lightning fast to the next one. Mouse sends work flawlessly. It isn't as UI friendly as keyclone, but spend the time watching the set up vid and reading up on the site. It's sooo worth it.

If you plan on pvping....drop the pally for a 4th shaman. Even switching the priest out for a 5th shaman would do wonders to your burst damage. I made the switch from running 4 shaman to 5....and being able to "1 shot" people(or drop them down to 10%) with chain lightning is really nice. My heals are not all that great.....but spamming chain heal on all has gotten me out of alot of sticky situations.

Like cmeche said, it's tough to PvP with 1 melee and the rest caster, especially starting out. Here's what I do, and it's with 5 shaman.

First off, make a macro on all 5 toons:

    /script RepopMe()

This releases your corpses when you die. When one dies (especially in AV) it's easiest to take as many with you before you die, if you're being zerged, and just release all at once. That'll put you in the same grave yard. If you win that little battle, just resurrect your lost clone(s).

I never release my chars, I res them. Sure 10sec is a long time, but it is WAY shorter than runing your team or char back. Other times if 2+ die, I go ahead and just wipe so we can all be together. I found out in WG, you can ask the guide to send you to a specific GY even if you are alive. Wish AV had that, /sigh.

If you have the option to rez, that is generally the best.

If you don't have that option, and they're all dead, release them all at the same time.

If some live and some are dead, without a rez option, suicide the survivors so they all rez together.

If it is AV, you can get the trinket to send them all to defense, which is a good regroup method.

Be careful doing that.. once, I was in East frostwolf tower, and thunderstormed the enemy out, only for him to land right inside WEST frostwolftower, which had less defenders, and he was able to ninja cap it right in front of me.... I was sure mad at that one.

I really don't like the asymetry of AV... I find bunkers and towers completely different animals. With bunkers, if I get feared, its way easier to hit follow and reallign my guys, but in towers ive ended up halfway down the ramp sometimes, which is impossible to /follow out of, so i have to either run all my guys back down to retrieve, or run toons up individually. Even if I dont /follow in a bunker, they still often have LoS of the flag to nuke any cappers, but in towers, that is a luxury not often experienced.

back on topic, I either stick it out, and go out in a blaze of glory, or rez/ankh whoever died and heal up. There've been a few times when im at FWGY, and end up dying due to mass rezzes comin in when im low on mana, but then I rez at RH, behind their lines and hit up Drek for the win... I basically slowed everyone down long enough for us to get tanks and heals set up on drek and downed him right before horde got back from rezzing...

If they get their insignas taken early, and you rez at different GYs, i either auto run to a central place, or use my trinkets to recall back to base. I need to macro trinket swapping, I dont like losing my Medallions and all that resil....
