Thread: Melee and fear

  1. #1

    Question Melee and fear

I am using 4 Blood DKs + 1 disc priest (lvl 66-69 now), I love the combo and have no problem to clear inis at my level (Sethekk normal atm).

There is only one thing that causes me to wipe: mobs that fear.

I can prevent this most times with silence, interupts and screaming. But as soon as my melee group is running in all directions, I usually find myself at the graveyard a bit later.

Are there and tips or tricks to gain control again more easily than to press the 'follow' button and start collecting the toons?

Interact with target has a further range than follow does. Are you using IWT and click to move?

I would suggest getting your priest the PvP trinket to dispel fear and then using him to dispel / mass dispel the fears or at least heal through them.

Interact with target will be a game changer if your not doing it.

thanks for the responses - yes, I am using interact (thanks to this forum ) but never for fear recovery, because I thought that the range was to short. Will check now !

Will also do some pvp now to get my priest the trinket - lvl 70 will bring mass dispel, this might be the ultimate cure as well, thanks for the suggestion !

IWT is powerful against fear and fear bombs.

The pvp trinket is quite nice for use vs fear.
As is Fear Ward on the priest.
Especially if you have a quick to cast Mass Dispel.

This is one reason I roll Human on Alliance, for the 'Every Man for Himself' racial. Has saved my team many many times from a wipe. That plus if you run an all Human Pally/Priest team like I do, put this on Round Robin, and have a separate macro for a group /cleanse. Each toon in the group targets one another and hits Cleanse/Cure Disease. If all are feared/stunned/mind controlled, I hit the EMfH key once and mash that macro till all are in my control.

I agree with Ualaa, I recently added my priest to my 3xDK team and use IWT on the DK's when required from fear. I can recover from one even if I'm 35 yards away with IWT and my priest is setup with a fast MassD to get them back in the fight.

I have to say though, I'm still bad about my healing binds since it's so new for me to run a healer.

If you have reliable mouse broadcasting (HKN/IS Boxer), click to heal with something like Healbot, Grid + Clique or Vuhdo makes healing the easiest I've ever seen it.

The health boxes go down (or fill up as the toon becomes hurt).
Click on the box that needs heals.
Healer receives the click and heals.

ANY ui mods like party bar changes that you think would be helpful for this sort of thing?
