Default worth it anymore to stay at 70?

    hey

I can currently only afford 5 wow to TBC and so up to level 70

but since all battlegrounds are 70-79, and twinking at 69 is not effective at all anymore, is it worth it?

I could make a group to 70, get all epic items of level 70 required in all slots, but even then I think being on the Alliance side will get me smashed against a well-coordinated Horde group of 78-79's running in Northrend blues.

    any thoughts?

cannot proceed past 70, but can get full-epix on all slots on all 5 characters.

    Why post 2 times?

And to your question. Well only you can answer if its worth it.

Its not really that much more to spend for wotlk. Lets say you wait to buy the last expansion until you need it. That will give you about 2-3 weeks to decide to buy or stay at 70. (dont know how fast it is now days)

it went to the wrong place, sorry.

but to me it seems that level 70 content, or really any content not close to 80 or having the goal at 80 is diminishing.

blizzard seems to say that all should level to 80 or get bored out of their balls at level 70

ehh you really get bored at 80 as well.. :P

However, you are right in a way. There will probably never be any new 70 dungeons.

Theres plenty of content to do at level 60 and level 70. While you are doing all that content you can save up for 5x wotlk

I personally would save up the money for wrath. While you are saving up money, go ahead and run lvl 70 heroics, join pug raids for lvl 70 stuff, all the 80s just want the achievement, so you will likely get all the loot. Then once you get wrath, you have a head start in gear.

You could also take this opportunity to lvl up many alts to 70. Max out what you can/want to and you will have less work once you get wrath.

When AV used to be x1 to x0, 70 had a decent argument for PvP play.

Now that all BG's are x0 to x9, anyone who doesn't upgrade every expansion is the lowest level in all pvp brackets.

So you'd be better off at 59, 69 etc.
But with frozen experience (an in-game option), you only queue against others with frozen experience too.

And games don't start until there are a full number of players on both sides; not saying they will necessarily all click "enter battleground", but no one gets that window until the maximum number of players are queued for both sides.

There was a lot of content at 70th, prior to WotLK.
Staying that level for a while, doing the heroics, sunwell dailies etc.
Buying each toon an epic flyer, get tradeskills to 350+...
Lots of things to work at.
