Default WoW Gaming Mouse (Steel Series)

Alright, am I the only one totally disappointed with this mouse? I was hoping to get something like my Logitech mouse... find a button bind a key, done.

You know ... like the "Down" arrow.

Anyone out there with this mouse that has actually been able to get this stupid mouse to work? I love the fact that it is wired and it has 15 buttons ... but the inability to bind the simplest buttons confuses me. On top of all that, if you want to bind this mouse for OTHER games ... you have to remember all of the WoW "default" bindings and run a translation algorythim in your head.

Someone please tell me you got this working? I'll "custom" make macros if that's what is needed.

    Grr.

Back to my MX Revolution and messing with batteries.

I think you should be able to bind a mouse key to a keyboard button For example making Mouse button 10 as an replacement for F12 , thats how i remember it.

In terms of buttons ... the Naga is impressive. It does have a couple of design flaws though:
Buttons without ergo are just in the way.
Why, oh why, can't Razor make a mouse with side-scroll?

I love the way that Logitech and Microsoft mice feel in the hand. The Naga just looks like a thumb cramp waiting to happen. I mean, it is beautiful in theory, but I'd bet most of those buttons can't be used and you'd really not want to be searching the side of your mouse for the right button to press in a bad situation (and they all need to be pressed with the thumb!)

I have 5 fingers. Why can't any of the mice out there realize I have 5 fingers? 99% of mice seem to think the thumb is the only other finger that can push a button.

I used my steel series mouse for 2 minutes. I was able to bind different keys to the mouse. Did you download the software for the mouse? There's a control panel that you use for button assignments.

Oh, I chucked the mouse after using it for 2 minutes.

    I downloaded their horrible software.

It "integrates" to WoW. Meaining you bind "move forward" instead of "w"

The silly thing is, it is based off of the Default Bindings. If you want to bind "Alt-Down Arrow" you have to bind "Chat Previous Message" to that button.

If the keybind isn't within the WoW Default Bindings ... you're out of luck. Nothing you can do.

    Stupid.

On the MX Revolution I set it to Keybind Mode and can bind Ctrl-F1 without any issue. Have yet to see a way to do that on the steelseries.

Oh, and it too does not have side scroll.

    Dumb.

    Default Wow Mouse works fine

I have the wow mouse and it works fine since the 1st software update. You cannot use the default settings. You must rebind all keys with your own macros.
Use the no delay option and setup the macro just like any other keyboard or mouse macro.

I use it daily and I have all keys bound to tons of different things.

This mouse works nicely if setup right.

Download the newest updates from their site it takes the mouse from useless to working. Also do not check the wow mouse detector in the interface options. This does not work for boxing.
