    Default Yay me /sarcasm

So I had the Mobile Authenticator on my iPhone, which then proceeded to blow up. I had a recent backup of all my apps, so when I got my replacement iPhone, I restored from my backup and figured all was well.

Well, I tried to log into my accounts but failed. After about 12 failed attempts (I assumed it was my ham-fisted typing or a CAPSLOCK problem) I first thought that my accounts had been hacked. I realized that this was almost impossible and then came to the correct conclusion that the problem was with my Mobile Authenticator program.

Although I restored my Authenticator program from a backup of my device, I believe that the Serial Number that the program uses as a key is somehow tied to the specific Serial Number of the iPhone, so that the program was spitting out keys that were incorrect for my account.

I really don't know why I am relating this story aside from a general caution about the authenticator program for the iPhone: if your phone dies for any reason, you are screwed. I highly suggest writing down the Serial Number of your Mobile Authenticator as this may be of assistance when dealing with Blizzard.

I have an e-mail in to Tech Support. I'll see how that goes.

Did you try to resync it? If all else fails you will have to call Billing/customer service to remove the old serial # and install the new # to the account.

Technical support doesn't work on weekends and I don't think they could help you anyway.
