    Default Starting Multi Boxing

Hi, I'm new to the forums and to multi-boxing in general. I have access to three WoW accounts so I'm going to be 3-boxing a team of shamans. I thought a team of all the same class would be easiest to start out with and shamans seemed like they were good. I'm going to do it all on one computer, so 3 is probably my limit. I've dowloaded keyclone already and i'll be starting this weekend. My question for all of you experienced multi-boxers is, will I be able to set up my multi boxing, btu then later go back to playing normal one box wow? I read somewhere about making a copy of the WoW folder for boxing, so if I made 3 copies for the boxes and used my regular WoW when I want to play my other character would that work? I don't want to have to change a lot of setting every time I switch between the multi-boxing and playing a single character.\

    Sorry for the long post.

    Hey,
just started multiboxing myself with three mages

I have 4 copies of WoW on different harddrives. One for when I play normally and the three others for when I multibox. Then you can have separate settings for each.

I spread it out for the video and sounds settings also.

My main WoW Directory has all the bells and whistle, which also runs my main toon for the group.

My 2nd WoW directory has all the video and sound turned off, everything at it's lowest settings and lower resolution.

3rd is on another computer with it's own lowest settings.

I have 7 seperate wow folders on my computer
one is my main and original in prog files\blah blah. another is in the same folder that I used for my second account (ive had two accounts for quite a while) which hold my respective stuff with those characters. I then have 5 more copies of the wow folder that are exclusively for when I 5box allowing me to make settings and changes on each one without messing up my mains. This is a big thing because you will be doing some crazy keybindings and stuff to make your characters work together that you wouldnt want reflected in your solo play. I have the last 5 folders on a seperate physical hard drive to improve performance and I have a 3rd hard drive I use for fraps and it works great. One tip to save space. dont copy the patch and update files in the wow directory around. they are not used once they are installed (the files called wow-update-######.exe and wow-patch-######.exe etc) Same thing goes for when there is an update. log in with one copy of WoW and let it download the update, once it is done copy the update and patch file to each other folder and launch wow. No wasted time for downloads; I think there is a script someone wrote in the software section to do this automatically with a batch file.
