So is this going to be five mannable or another raid only item?

Im thinking 5mannable. It looks like a drop from Heroic IC 5 man dungeon to start the quest and I read through most of the quest line in wowwiki and nothing looked like it took more than 5 people to complete. In fact I kinda thought it looked like a handout.

Well there's a serious owl moment. If true, maybe I should finally start leveling my Paladins past 60.

(Crap, I don't think the character models match on those. Started out with one as a tank, then later with one as a healer, then later with three as "who knows, gotta finish off 5x paladins to get all classes over 60 x5"...and I do like to have the looks and names coordinated. Blizzard's RMT database services shouldn't be so effing overpriced.)

I don't know what you've been reading on WoWWiki, but the whole chain is raid quests. From the first quest in the chain, note this part:

"Rotface's Acidic Blood and Festergut's Acidic Blood may only be obtained in the 25 person difficulty setting of Icecrown Citadel"

I'm thinking it will be the usual Legendary method Blizzard uses, which is to say it only goes to large raids that spend a long time grinding - and then only to the person that does the most backstabbing and politicking.

I think we're talking about two different things.

Shadowmourne is the legendary axe that you'll get in Icecrown raids.

There's a ~255 dps epic 2h sword you can get questing out of the new 5 man dungeons.

For clarifcation, Shadowmourne is a Legendary 2H Axe - completing the questline to get it will require killing RAID bosses, and you will need this to drop 1st:






Quel'Delar is a One-handed or Two-handed sword quest reward (which can be exchanged for a mace), quest items obtained from doing the 5-man heroics in ICC (note - only showing 2 of the possible 7 choices here):
