I wouldn't consider it botting unless what you and 99% of the others here do is also botting with your use of heavy macroing. Whether those macros are in the EQ2 client or not. I push a button, get a result, not botting.

At one time, there was some software that would allow you to send tells to your character in EQ and get buffs, heals, etc. It was considered botting because you aren't controlling the character at all.
