Go get the latest from the ATI website. Win7 drivers are still in a large state of flux from week to week.

The latest drivers for 4890 cards are 8.671. If you're still on 8.632, you're both way behind.

I have seen three cards of this type (4870/4890) and all three had stability issues during 3d applications (games). The problem was easily solved on all three cards, it is related to the dynamic overclocking on these cards. The GPU will clock itself down and switch between 500/750 Mhz every second, this is supposed to save power but it's not working properly.
The solution is to overclock the GPU slightly in order to lock the clock speed so it does not swing from 750/500/750 every second.
I have my GPU locked at 753Mhz (default is 750) and have not had a single crash since. These cards are fast and rock solid once you disable the buggy power saving feature.

I recommend locking the GPU core speed with RivaTuner, an app that can be downloaded from guru3d.com

This is done on your own risk btw, if you dont know how to overclock safely then get someone else to do it for you, I take no responsibility.

rivatuner tells me, that my display driver is not supported in the current version of riva tuner.
i just downloadet the newest version of catalyst controll center (including all driver and so on..) and i downloaded the newest version of riva tuner.

    what am i doing wrong?

since it does not support my display driver, i cant overclock my gpu-speed...

I dont know anything about the wrong version or unsupported display driver, if you are lucky it does not matter and it will let you change clock speed anyway. Look at the image to see where you can change gpu speed.
