    Default H ToC Champs Advice

I have a warrior tank and the champs phase of H ToC is giving me a headache. I can't seem to get past this phase consistently when I'm presented with the Deathstalker and a ranged DPS. I can't seem to maintain aggro on the ranged dps while I kite the rogue around staying out of the ground poison. Invariably, my healer grabs aggro and gets nuked by the ranged dps, and we wipe. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for tanking this particular encounter?

I use a paladin tank and can usually hold aggro on ranged targets with Avengers shield and the ranged taunt. Im not sure if druids have an equivalent for ranged tanking, I havent tanked on one since lvl 70. If they dont then Id suggest using tanking cooldowns and trying to avoid healing us much as you can while you nuke the rogue down.

I had some trouble with this one too, but sorta figured it out. You wanna start off with HoTs, zero DPS, and a fair whack of AOE threat. Glyphed Maul, Berserk, and Swipe them before you start DPS, and before the fight starts spreading out. Once you start killin', you'll want to keep one or both of the other champs interested with an occasional Swipe. If you load up on threat at the start, it's not such a big deal as the fight progresses, i.e. by the time you're starting to really lose threat, you're finished with their friend and can get properly in their face anyway.

Now that I've got threat worked out, my trouble with this fight is that I have so few ways of dealing with healing waves. Two nights ago, I left the pally to kill last, and he essentially tanked my entire party for ten minutes. I could only Bash him so often, he couldn't kill me, and I didn't have the mana to just burn him down through the heals. So, between Innervate cooldowns, I ended up just letting him run himself out of mana by damaging him a little and letting him heal, damaging him a little, rinse and repeat. Then when I thought it couldn't be more boring ... quick, pop Innervate and go all out. It was ridiculous.

I also use a warrior and found when tanking this I usually end up with the ranged almost everytime lol. I usually use Heroic Throw on the rogue then Charge the hunter and thunder clap/shockwave which should now allow some healing while you tag each of them with a few sunders. If you can take them around the left of the door near corner (enough to los the hunter) sometimes the hunter wont move from there.

I use these Glyphs to increase threat gain:
Glyph of Sunder Armor - Sunder Armor now affects a second nearby target
    Glyph of Devastate
    - Devastate now applies two stacks of Sunder Armor

When the hunter is in range of you try to hit it with about 3 Devastates and some heroic strikes while moving back to the main target to toss 1 or 2 so you dont loose aggro.

Hope this helps some, I hate this part as well.
