Nerfing the shaman Tier 9 when 3.3 comes out. Meh. It's still a nice bonus, just not as nice as it was before.

"Shaman Tier-9 4-Piece Set Bonus (Elemental): This set bonus now does an additional 10% of Lava Burst’s initial damage over time instead of increasing the size of the Lava Burst. "

I quit Aion too much of a grind fest. It was pretty though. Now I just play my free game urban terror fps and play guitar.

Its more of a PvP nerf, in raids against a boss it will be the same amount of damage really, unless I'm reading it incorrectly. They just dont want PvP ele shams to be OP... All I Know is with thunderfall totem, glyph of lava, and flameshock on the target, lavabursts hit for insane amounts...

No it used to be 20% damage over time, it is definitely a nerf.

    Its both:

We balance some things around absolute values (we're shooting for a target) and other things around relative values (how X looks compared to Y). A lot of shaman were saying they weren't going to upgrade to tier 10 despite the, frankly, gratuitous stats on the new gear. We concluded that was because the T9 set bonus was too good and the T10 set bonus was too weak. We suspected the T9 was too good for some time, but didn't want to nerf it while the T9 was all that was available. We did the same thing with a few other sets (or relics).
    On live it is

"Increases the damage done by your Lava Burst spell by 20%."

It was nerfed for PvP to

"Your Lava Burst spell causes your target to burn for an additional 20% of your spell's damage over 6 seconds."

    Then nerfed for Pve

"Your Lava Burst spell causes your target to burn for an additional 10% of your spell's damage over 6 seconds."

The good part is that now we're no longer forced to wear a thousand +hit items to get the bonus :P

EDIT: Well, we still are, but the bonus isn't really mandatory anymore.

That's incorrect, emblems of triumph will drop from heroics after 3.3 :-)

I don't know why you would farm them that quickly. Technically you could do every heroic every day and get it all done in less than a week, but it would be extremely tiring to do so. The most efficient way to get badges would be to just only do the daily/random dungeon and try to do that weekly raid thing if you have the ability to.
