Default What is so hard about NR beasts?

    /ranton

Ya know I have been in so many fail PuGs on ToC 10 or 25. I just cant believe there are people out there that see the yeti look at them and decide to run right at him. I've even acted out what you have to do during massive crash (hey look at big bad beasty, now run away!!) and someone always walks right into it.
It's funny because once we get past wiping once or twice on him its smooth sailing until Anub and then you got about a 50% chance of having enough dps to take him down. I wish NR beasts were the last encounter in ToC because you wait 2 hours for a group to fill up and in two wipes you are done.

well, I think i got lucky then last night. I took one of my shaman's to a guildrun of toc10. smooth sailing all the way to the end. I got the mail hands + the caster shield from anub.
Good thing it went well, or i would have been kicked after the 1st wipe , i was closing the ranks on the dps front

In every toc 10man failpug there is 10 puggers who tell their friends they were in a failpug full of baddies.

Well it was a guild run and thats why. PuG ToC can be vastly different, I mean I have had ToCs where no one was below 5k GS (except me, hah) and we still had people get nailed by the charge. I just want to choke a bitch when someone cant get out of the way.

one little trick to pugging toc - the later on in the week you wait, the worse the average player will be. on tuesdays and wednesdays its almost always 1 shot 40 min clears of toc10/25, by the weekend you will want to poke your eyes out with sharp knifes. most of the people pugging on tue/wed are on their mains and just want to get in and out fast, on weekends you have very casual players, undergeared alts, etc.

i generally pug toc/voa/ony25 on tuesday & wed on 2-3 chars and just do stuff solo rest of the week, unless its a group i know will be very good.
