Default Walk *and* chew gum?! At the same time?!

    Hi again,

Still haven't worked out my mouse clicky clicky issue but am forging ahead with Frik and Frak (not their real names).

I'm just doing two of the same class right now to keep things simple (mage and other mage). Have Frak following Frik, and have the "/assist Frik, /cast whoopass" macro no trouble. Run around, Frik targets nasty trogg, press my "1" key, Frik lights up the nasty trogg.

Problem: When Frik is starting to cast whoopass, Frak is still running to catch up. Frak doesn't start his own pew pew until the second cast.

Is this to be expected? Is there some easy solution I've missed? Have you army-multiboxers just gotten used to it and play around the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Please don't camp me,
    John.

It's to be expected. You can break follow before engaging via a spread macro or the arrow keys so the follower is standing still and ready to cast while the lead gets the mob in range or just wait unti lthey are both done moving.

As Khat said, this is normal. You must account for the inherent latency, which is effectively TWICE the latency you have to deal with on one toon. Think of it like this:

--> You press key. Key gets sent to WoW server.
<-- WoW server processes key and sends confirmation and updates game data. Client reacts to server-side game updates and adjusts rendering to show new status.
--> Second client sees main client move. Starts following main char and sends movement to server.
<-- Server confirms movement and other data and sends back to second client. Client reacts to server-side game updates and adjusts rendering to show new status.

Double latency. Not too bad when you're out in the world in a relatively low-pop area and have 10ms pings to the server. In Dalaran or in an instance on a badly lagging instance cluster? Sucks BALLS.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

As they said above, you just wait for second character to stop moving before casting normally, if you want them to open up the "whopass" as once.

I tend to use this time to "pull" the target to get agro on tank before my follow train behind stops.

You just need to account for latency..

Yeah, you start to get used to the follow lag, and adapt around it.

    Great toon names btw!

You also could try a follower that opens with an instant cast he'll do it as he comes to a stop you never even have to wait
other than that yeah its pretty much wait for them all to come to a stop

Great replies, thank you so much.

For now, I've gotten used to the old double-tap. Getting used to it, but still getting four whoopasses down range in good time. I may go to an instant cast for the follower, that's a pretty good idea.

    Cheers!
