Actually one are where ele shamans kinda got screwed was on the weapons. There is no spell DPS version of Quel'delar that Shamans or Boomkins can use. Same for the heroic 5-man weapons.

MP5 = resto sham stat. It's a wasted stat for elemental shams.

Compare to Quel'Delar, Lens of the Mind, which has haste in place of the MP5. Much better itemization for ele shams, but we can't use swords.

This was a big problem with 3.2 badge/crafted gear - all the mail caster gear was itemized for resto shams and not ele shams, which means we have to go scrounging for leather and cloth gear. The only decent pieces we could get were from using badges to buy the armor tokens. Case in point - the BIS wrist piece for shams at the moment is actually a BoE cloth piece - www.wowhead.com/?item=Bejeweled Wizard's Bracers.

I think Blizzard has really overlooked elemental shaman gear itemization. It's hard to find +hit on most mail spellpower gear, but abundant on cloth. Also, the only shield i ever see on any shaman thats not geared out is the original heroic badge one, which is more resto itemized (and i guess holy pallies like that type of itemization). There's a decent naxx 10 one with a low drop rate, but everything else is a high end raid drop.

I think the solution is for shamans to use swords. I mean how hard can it be to teach someone who can use maces and daggers to use swords? Hell some of the "daggers" i've used while gearing up used the exact same model as a "sword" my tank was using....

I'd like to see that as well, but Blizz said in the Shaman Q&A a while ago that it's unlikely to happen (link here). I don't expect any major changes as far as itemization goes until Cataclysm, when everything gets a complete overhaul.

I kind of like the idea of not being able to just roll through, but I do worry a bit since your chars seems to be pretty decked out. I remember you tank having like 50k hp in the video. What's you take? What makes it tricky? Is it hard to multibox (ie lots of coordinated movement etc.) or is it just hard in general?

PoS was hard, mobs were hitting my tank for crazy amounts, but HoR is well....pretty crazy.
Event starts with mobs coming out, there is mages doing aoe, hunters doing poison stuff, rogues shadow stepping and stunning tank(while you have 5 other mobs on you) i counted about 40 mobs in total that come in waves, and you dont really have time ot drink in between, they each have around 120k hp.
there is few spots that you can los, but those spots dont have much area to strafe away when you get 2 or 3 times flame strikes on your slaves.
My basic problem is going oom, and rogue 1-2 shooting my slave.....
Ive done it all once, but now it got harder, just like 2 othe rinstances, this isnt cake walk anymore.
I posted video of my todays PoS clear here: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=26136
You can see damage on tank and slaves, its pretty nuts compared to what it was few weeks ago.

Ahh, then I wouldn't worry too much. They usually balance 5 man dungeons to be doable by most players, so it's likely to be tuned down. Hell, the patchnotes are full of nerfs for mobs in Oculus because they are deemed to hard. It's likely to be balanced, but the challenge will be nice since it's probably tricky even when balanced
