Default After 5 hours.....experience so far

I finally got it all setup, got Keyclone, bought 4 more WOW and TBC accounts and game cards and created characters.

4 hours invested in buying it all.
    5 hours play time invested.
4 Shamen that are now level 6

    ...Priceless? Not yet

But I am still keen to give it another couple days. . .

    Feeling so far:

    1. There is a learning curve to control and setup.
    2. PC needs more RAM, but video card and CPU is more than enough
    3. Leveling is bloodly slow on collection quests and in general in noob area
    4. need to find a better way of looting than to constantly switch windows and control other characters especially for collection quests
    5. Formation macro is useful and required to ensure all chars are with you and you did not leave someone behind ops:
    6. Already in noob area up to level 6, I have been accused of macroing, botting, been laughed at, challenged to duels, and more so. I love that part of it.

OK now to start another day leveling and seeing if it gets faster and easier.

Thanks everyone for the support, help on macros and patience. I am sure I will have more questions once I get a few good spells and totems.

1-20 is crap. Best multibox starting area is by far Blood Elf.

You will learn to skip collection quests later, for now its fair essential.

1-30 is pretty crap, run out of quests on the alliance constantly running all over the place doing every single quest possibile.

http://www.wow-pro.com/ has a great resource for powerlevelling either by grinding mobs or quests or a mix. both alliance and horde sides, i used them to level a while ago, there great guides if u follow them from an early stage.

It'll take a little while to get your macro's settled the first time around and the first 20 levels can be a little slow. Regarding looting, set looting to free for all and turn on the Auto Loot option in the menu selection so you can quickly loot with your leader only and then distribute to your other characters when your leader bags are full.

As a guess, I would say levelling 20-30% slower and slower still if you build all professions at the same time. Just do gathering professions and don't do the others until much later when you have the gold to power level them all.

I had a good bit of a learning curve when I first started, both because Ive never multiboxed like this before and I have never leveled a shaman for myself (played a 70 a few times on PTR but meh) and it was painful to start, lots of wipes and deaths due to stupid mistakes or something I didnt think about. But after hitting 20 it has been SICK. Just tearing through instances like they were nothing and gear (and shards lol) coming out my eyeballs. Even though it may go slower I personally think it is easier to instance grind to level. The reason being is the gear is much better than quest gear making your characters stronger and thus the content becomes easier but you still get good exp for it. In fact Ive been outleveling instances before I can even get all the gear I want from it lol, thankfuly that will change as time goes on (especially in the outlands)

side note.. whoever designed the call of water quest line for shamans deserves to be bludgeoned to death by brady game guides...

    I second that >.<

Personally I leveled my 5 toons by hand up to 15, and im pretty sure it saved me time. Once I hit 15 I raped rfc a few times and was soon 17 and went to WC for a few levels. With my pala tank and 4 shammys (1 of them is resto) Ive pretty much been able to clear each instance at its reccomended start level.

call of water totem quest is not nearly as stupid as druid water form questline, now that is moronic. at least you get ghost wolf at 20 makeing things easyer.
