I am a fan of auto configs I really like the one in ISBoxer. If you do not want to use the Auto Wizard than do not.

I provide support and consultation on high end test equipment most of our equipment has an auto mode and I will tell my customers that they should not use it as a crutch but more of a jumping off point.

With ISBoxer I set up the auto wizard and than tore apart what it was doing and how it did it. Reverse engineering so to speak.

We all think and work differently if you want to do research and dig into the application and learn as you go that is great. If you want to just push a big button and play that option is nice to have. ISBoxer gives you both options.
