I think you may be under the impression that everyone want and enjoys taking the time (and it's not simply a few minutes) "having a firm grasp of the macro system." My guess is that when you (and most others here) started multiboxing, you didn't take time to firmly grasp the macro system and likely would have tried an "auto-setup program" before you understood everything. I'm also not really understanding how ISBoxer (or any other prog) somehow prevents people from learning the macro system by offering an easy way to get people started ... I see it more akin to giving someone a car and offering them automatic vs standard. You still need to learn the rules of the road, you just have a bit less to worry about out of the gate.This thread is a good example of why ISBoxer is sorta a bad thing. Let me explain.
While ISBoxer gives you instant setup, it doesn't teach you the basics of how it all works. Like giving someone a car and teaching them to drive, never explaining them that its going to run out of fuel at some point.
