    Default 1 pally + 4 shaman viable for PVE/P?

    Ok, so I have:

    80 druid
    70 warlock
    70 shaman
    70 paladin
    70 rogue
    70 priest
    70 mage

I leveled them by the druid dragging them thru instances

Now, I'm thinking of trying out one of the legit 5 box programs

I'm trying to decide if I can get away with:
Pally (tank) + shaman, mage, balance druid, priest for pve + pvp

or do i need to do Pally (tank) + ele shaman x4 for pve+pvp

    or ele shaman x5

Basically, I want the easiest, most effective way to faceroll

For PvE or Battlegrounds, just about any combination will work.

You have a tank (pally is probably the easiest tank to box with) option and a healer option (druid or priest, both of which rock as a boxing healer).

A Paladin with 4x Shaman is a great option too.
They are incredibly easy to play and have a ton of synergy.
You can run 4x Elemental or 3x Elemental + 1x Resto, its a preference thing really.
The Resto makes harder stuff easier, but once its closer to farm status the Elementals can all dps and heal enough.

Paladin + 4x Shaman will be far easier to macro/hotkey then a mixed team.
This combination can do every heroic.
A 5th shaman is probably a better option for PvP, but you could easily go a Prot/Holy hybrid on the Paladin.
You'd have massive health and decent survivability making you the wrong target to burst if they focused on you.
And provide your team with some heals, especially if you set up mouse broadcasting heals.

As far as the boxing solution, I'll recommend InnerSpace + ISBoxer Toolkit.
For pvp, you'll probably want to have strong mouse broadcasting options for ground target spells.
    I've very happy with IS.

Thanks, Ualaa! I see you rec'd IS.
Have you or any others here tried GameCommanderPro? I just looked at their site and it looks pretty good.

I've tried Keyclone, and as far as broadcasting keys go, its a very reliable program.

InnerSpace is as good for the keyboard stuff, but the PiP swaps are far superior as well as mouse broadcasting etc. And you can do amazing things with the Keymaps. Plus automatic FTL via the wizard is great too.

I've never tried GCP so cannot really comment. They have superb documentation on their site, and don't appear to allow anything like timed delays until something hits (ie, stuff that could get you in trouble).

HotKeyNet has a ton of support on this site as well. Like Lax (IS) and Rob (KC), Freddie makes fairly regular appearances here and there's a lot more support for these three products then the other options (from users I mean). I don't know much of scripts or how to edit them to do what I want, which is one of the reasons I choose IS over HKN, but the two programs seem to be able to do anything the other could as well.

HKN is free, while KC/IS are not.
KC is $20 for a lifetime license, and you'll need 1 license per computer.
IS is $36 per year (plus a bit for mentioning someone referred you), and can be used on up to 5 computers.

Also, consider what you want to do with your group. For heroics, you don't need the damage debuff and the simplicity might be worth more than 13% damage - at least in the current state of the game. If you're not too sure on your feet, I'd try and keep it simple.

You need to plan for buffs and debuffs if you plan to raid. If you plan to PvP (arena), 4 shaman is a proven and viable combo, 3 shaman and a lock isnt. That's not to say that it isn't viable for arena, but simply that it hasn't been done yet. The best groups for PvE in no particular order (although this is overkill for current content):

    1) Mixed group with good synergies - i.e. 5 different classes (it's not as complex as you'd think)
    2) DK + 4 shaman
    3) Paladin + 3 shaman + lock
    4) Paladin + 3 shaman + druid

I've run with both a mixed team, pure shammies (BC), pala + shammies + druid and pala + shammies. For PvE the mixed team was most efficient. There's a lot of EJ-info to keep track of, but other than that, it's not as tricky as most think. Priests are amazing healers for multiboxing - you hardly need to pay attention to them. Although the mixed team is very efficient, I sitll like playing paladin + 4 shammies most :-)

it's going to be hard to beat the pally + 4 shaman. they are so simple and so easy to play. huge passive healing ( 4x healing streams) , huge passive AoE ( pally consecrate, shaman magmas ) tremor totems, earthbind totems.

I've tried mixed teams like mage, warlock, ret pally, prot pally, shaman healer and I really had a rough time of it. rough compared to the pally/shaman team. Someone is almost always dead and it's usually the ret pally stealing aggro. I still play my off teams but I just don't like them as much as I like my main team.

    I run:

    Prot Pally + 4x Shaman.
All are Elemental, but one is dual-spec Resto.

Feral Druid + Discipline Priest + Arcane Mage + Elem. Shaman + Aff. Warlock.
My mixed team is fun, but a Pally is far easier to box with.

    Balance Druids x5
Tempted to dual spec two of them Feral and Resto.

    Affliction Warlocks x5
Haven't started to level these, just configured their windows so far.

    Hunters x5
Leveled during RAF, have not touched since.

    Priests x5
    Same as the hunters above.

The Pally / Shaman team is by far the easiest to play.
They're also the best geared by a long shot, but even as fresh 80's they were the easiest.

I really didn't like the mixed team in instances, especially after the ease of the Pally/Shammies.
I might go back to 5x DPS spec's (or 4x + Disc) and just run dailies, once they hit 80th.

The Druids are very fun to play during the leveling process.
The goal is to PvP with them, but they won't go far in arena with their limited controlled burst.

The Warlocks will be a fun style too, and are also going to be a PvP team.
These will be my first set of horde toons, so hopefully 1-80 will be less of a pain having never taken a horde into double digits.
