Facepalm moment

I went to UK Pinnacle just now to grid some rep and got absolutely trashed by the first group of trash mobs,
I was like what?? normally i steamroll this,
then I noticed that I had forgotten to change back to normal from heroic, D'oh!

I just spent 15 minutes looking through my bag for the Hula girl.. I was making the turbo-charged flyers for my Paladins.

I could *NOT* find it, flipping out uinstalling addons thinking that for some reason the bagspace was being hidden. Going through each slot and counting to realize i had the right amount of space.

I was boosting enchanting today using a low level shield, wrist and chest equipped to macro the boost. Had dinner and when i returned joined a few av's. I can tank the alliance their general without a prob, just not today, 4 hits and we wiped. Tried again, wipe. Did belinda solo with my team and had to revive my tank, never happened before. Got so frustrated that i returned to boosting my enchanting, when i noticed i had still my lvl 10ish gear on

Biggest facepalm for a while was speccing one of my shammie resto, then forgetting to train new abilities ran enough random heroics for a 100 emblems thinking that the healing was lack lustre and may as well keep the healer as elemental. Didnt notice the problem until running raid weekly, which we completed without a wipe. Now that all is trained up tank never gets below 90% Prior to that my three year old sold my enchanting rod, which gm refused to replace...

Oh god selling an enchanting rod one of my worst nightmares I feel for you Saoul, I can not imagine how much that cost to replace.

Everyone once in a while I will hit my Riding Mount button instead of flight. I quickly realize my mistake shortly after I step off the ledge.

My tank was out of phase with my DPSers. I would often park him mid-air while the rest finish up the phase quest. I would forget he is flying high and hit my flight macro which takes him out of form to plummet to his death.

I can't remember who it was, but awhile back someone posted a /facepalm where one of their shaman alts was constantly disenchanting a piece of gear, and only found out about it after re-farming it once or twice. That, in my opinion, is the all-time greatest.

I did some macro changes way back in BC and accidentally DE'd both of my trinkets.

Only good thing out of the entire ordeal was that Blizzard restored the trinkets and let me keep the shards.


For those who want to know how it happened (to prevent more /facepalm moments)...
My nuke macros had /use 13 and /use 14 (trinket slots).
I was farming kills in Halaa and in between running around and gathering motes from the gas clouds.
My first bar on all of my toons is left open for their professions.
My Engineer had his mote extractor on the third slot of the first button bar.
My Enchanter had his DE spell in the same slot.

So after extracting a cloud, my chanter was ready to DE something. I went back to Halaa and spammed my nuke macro and instead of casting a spell he DE'd the trinket in slot 13. It wasn't until after I DE'd the second one that I knew something was horribly wrong. It was that time in which I actually noticed the DE graphic. The reason why I didn't see that I received a purple shard was because at the same time I was receiving the PvP tokens you get for kills in Halaa and it was scrolling my chat window. Had I not noticed the graphic, I probably would have went a long time without trinkets on my chanter.

So the rule of thumb is - don't put your DE spell on a bar. Period.

I had a facepalm moment yesterday.

Questing in Howling Fjord, and I was finishing up the "harpoon" quest where you have to bomb the village from the ledge. The next quest called "Spear surfing.." or something, sends you surfing on a spear, to the start village in howling fjord.

Well my main char did, and the rest was on follow.... and ran off the clif and died. I laughed at that.

lol seldum sounds very familiar, any quest like that where you have to jump on some vehicle/mount tend to end up with at least one guy dead cause he was on follow

Yes, I have to be more carefull in the future hehe... the bodies landed on a steep slope which took me two tries in gost form to hit.... annoying but fun none the less.
