The battlechests are classic wow + burning crusade in one box.
I'd imagine wow will follow the everquest trend, and include a wow + bc + wrath box, once cataclysm is available.
I'm not sure on specific stores, but at the moment Battlechests + Wrath are you best bet, as far as products.
I'd definitely RAF refer yourself from the account A account management page.
Then use your retail cd key to upgrade the account.
From the newly upgraded account, RAF yourself an account.
Repeat.
So A refers B which refers C, which refers D which refers E.
Which gets you the maximum granted levels possible (cascading the granted levels).
B will get RAF 3x exp's when grouped with C, even if A is in the party.
Every account other then E gets a month free, when the referred account pays for a month.
And each of the A-D accounts gets a Zhevra mount free, so 3 new toons won't need to spend any gold on the ground epic mount, just the reduced riding skill cost.
As far as software to box with, I'll strongly recommend InnerSpace with ISBoxer Toolkit.
And definitely grab the Jamba addon, everything else is optional for boxing.
