Default swapping characters in your teams

Ok so I want to see if someone can provide some feedback on swapping my characters around.

    Team A:
    paladin tank
    dps shaman
    dps shaman
    dps shaman
    dps shaman

    Team B:
    Warrior tank
    arc mage
    boomkin
    destro lock
    holy priest

What I want to do is swap one shaman to the Team B so I have a tremor totem (fear mobs in certain instances can wipe my group and I hate that.) Team A is all geared out and cant get any more upgrades until 3.3 (of course they can still PUG raid gear for upgrades). Team B is almost finished with heroic gearing and I want to do H ToC with them. I figure I could swap one shaman for either the lock or the boomkin.

    Pros to TeamA:
Boomkin swap would give my shaman team Earth and Moon (13% more damage), at the cost of dps (really hard to manage eclipse procs) in losing a shaman. Team A would gain thorns and mark of the wild, nice bonus.
Lock swap would give Team A replenishment, also a 13% damage buff, a small health upgrade with pet and some healthy dps.

    Pros to Team B:
Gain tremor totem and HERO (huge and will easily make up losing either lock or boomkin). Gain resists (again huge, I dont have cold resist, nature resist or fire resist.)

It's looking like I should send the Boomkin to Team A because they arent lacking in dps and while they could really use replenishment(destro lock,) my Team B would really suffer without it and I would probably have to respec my mage to frost to cover that. Any thoughts?

I'm not really sure as to who you should move to team A. I do have a question for you, does Team A really need replenishment? I run at least one ele shaman in each of my 80s group and they seem to be the only ones that don't oom in realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly long fights. If you're going to switch, why only one?

No no I didnt word that sentence very well. Team A is fine on mana, Team B would get killed by not having replenishment (no mana totem or blessing of wisdom).

The whole purpose of the swap is to get tremor totem + resist totems to my Team B. They get completely blasted by fear spamming mobs (I can sometimes wipe in DTK because of being feared into another group or healer getting feared, etc) Plus I have only 75 resist to ALL and 120 Shadow resist. As a group that's no good when you go up against massive magic damage bosses.

So to recap: I need to get one shaman to team B for the tremor totem. All the rest is gravy.

Have you thought of moving your holy priest to team a and using the shaman that goes to team b as resto?
Prot Paladin, tank/resto Druid, 2xResto Shaman, 3xElemental Shaman, Balance Druid, Shadow Priest, Arcane Mage PVE
    10x shamans PVP

But then I miss the 13% damage increase that the boomkin or lock gives the shaman.

If Team A is already really geared they probably don't even need the 13% damage increase. Is that all you really want to do is move one of the guys that will give them 13% more damage.. You could also move your mage if you wanted too.

I am actually interested in knowing how mages are doing as frost in the PTR. With the inclusion of an everlasting pet. I love my frost mage.

I read a few discussions on EJ and dont expect arc mages to lose their dps crown over it. The reason for wanting +13% damage is simple, when each new tier of gear drops (and new instances) I want to be able to destroy them. This will help =)

P.S. I really like where my priest is right now, so I dont want to do that swap.

From what you've posted, team A doesn't need a boost or whatever.
So you just need to move one shaman to B, and one toon to A.

I'd personally move the boomkin to A.
But the priest to A as the healer, and go resto with a shammy has merit.
It achieves the goal of a shammy on B, and B retains both the boomkin and lock while gaining heroism and totems at the cost of Fortitude basically.
