Which one is faster?

Hey,

First of all, i would like to level all classes to L80 for my main account (8 to go). I've played the 1-60 too many times and decided to try RaF and some 2/3-boxing to keep it interesting and make it faster.

From now on, A is my main account (where i want those L80's), B and C are extra-accounts.

Currently A has:
Greatly geared Feral Druid and DK
wlock and rogue at L30
Hunter L36

So, the question is, which one is the faster style:

1) I buy 2 new accounts and 3box.
* B and C are linked to A.
* Use my main to boost 2 additional accounts to L60 by grinding instances.
* When B and C hits L60, I use 30 free levels / account to get one toon to L60 in account A.
* One choice could be to level account A-toon to L30 before using free levels, if it appears to be faster.
* If i buy 1 extra month for both accounts, i get 2 months for my A-account, right?

2) Buy only 1 new account
* Do quests and just enjoy the 3*XP.

Of course character transfer (account to account) might also be possible, but it depends how fast i can do it without.

Boosting two accounts with a third, the two accounts will level faster then two accounts questing.
So for 1-60, option A will result in 60 (or 60's) faster then option B.

If you cascade granted levels.
IE link them A -- B -- C
For every 60 boosted on BC by A, A gets:
30 levels from B and 15 additional levels from C.
So you could level a toon to 15th on A, and be very close to 16th.
And then boost them to 60th, and ding 61st on exploration before arriving in Hellfire.

If they're equally geared, I'd boost with the Feral.

Once you are 60th, and are doing the 60-80 grind.
Three toons would probably be the booster + 2 new accounts coming up.
You lose the RAF experience however you look at it, at 60+

I would probably go..
1-10 Quest with booster in party.
10-20 Shadowfang Keep (Horde Option)
10-16 Deadmines (Alliance Option)
16-20 Stockades (Alliance Option)
20-45 Scarlet Monastery
45-55 Stratholme
55-60 Ramparts
60-66 Underbog
66-68 Black Morass (don't start event)

Having some kind of healer in each pair will help reduce downtime.
But you'll probably outgear everything so badly you won't need any.
You can move to Northrend at 68th.

Thanks for your answers, helped a lot but still few questions remains.

Wouldn't it be better if A recruits both B and C?
(Not sure at all about this but) then I should get:
30 levels from B to A
30 levels from C to A
when B and C hits L60?

Is the RaF bonus account or character-specific? I mean that if first toons on accounts B and C hit L60, they lose the 3*XP, but if I start new fresh toons on those accounts they still get the 3*XP bonus?

Or does the 3*XP end when the first toon hits L60?

Also this line in the official RaF-FAQ bothers me:
Also, should monsters or quests be marked as "Low Level" or listed as gray in difficulty for either character, triple experience will not apply.

so B and C wouldn't get the tripleXP, but still they would get the normal xp (from elites) when grouped with my main?

If you go:
A -- B
A -- C

And boost them both to 60th.
You get 30 levels from B to A.
And 30 levels from C to A.
For a total of 60 levels granted.

But if you:
A -- B -- C

And boost them both to 60.
You get 30 levels from C to B
And 30 levels from B to A.
And 15 extra levels from B to A because C gave 30 to B.

So it depends if you want 75 total levels, with 45 on A.
Or 60 total levels, with all of them on A.

RAF is account to account.
So you can theoretically level several sets.
The limitation is that once you hit 60th, you don't count towards the bonus.
And that you need to be within 4 levels for the bonus too.

If you went A -- B -- C.
And were 80th, 14th and 15th.
B and C would both get RAF because they're both 59 or under, and within the level range spread.

Once your first set reach 60th...
You pretty much disregard them and start on another set.
But remember to do the granted levels before the 3 months of RAF expire.
Once you have everything boosted as far as you'd like to go, then worry about 60+.

If you are in a group with.... 28, 25 and 25.
And let's say it is Deadmines, with level 19 elites.
Going with the A -- B -- C set up, the mobs are grey to the 28th.
So the A -- B RAF link does not apply.
However, the B -- C link does apply because the mobs are green to both accounts.

Let's say for example you had started at 27, 25 and 25.
And for arguements sake the mobs were green to the 27th.
All three accounts would be getting 3x exp's.
But when the 27th became 28th, its RAF link doesn't count.

If you were to group an 80, with a 10 and 10.
Both of the 10's get 3x exp's, from anything green or more challenging (quests or mobs).
B and C are RAF chain linked, so even if the mob was grey for 60 levels to A, B/C get RAF 3x.

The only thing that is not 3x exp's is exploration experience.

Also, if you go A -> BC and you boost with A, then there is no RAF benefits, because your character on A would be too high level. That's my understanding anyway.

Correct, ioho.

If your set up was:
A - B
A - C
A - D
A - E

You would need to boost with a toon on B, C, D or E, but the toon on A could not boost.
Also A would need to be played in every composition and to be within 4 levels of each.
