    Default Boosting Bear style

How far can I boost toons with a feral druid lvl 60? I will get better gear and some enchants, most of her gear was balance/boomkin quest picks. Generally speaking, can she tank SM?

I would say the bear could comfortably tank SM. The highest level mobs are around the level 40 mark.
That's at least 20 levels you have on most of the trash.

I'd say start out small - pull a few mobs at a time and see how many you can safely handle. You won't be doing full instance pulls at that level. Keep the mobs in front of you and you should be fine.

Are you boosting any toons that can heal you if you need it? If yes then you can probably get a bit more ambitious with the pulling.

I will boost different teams. Right now is pally-lock lvl 25. Next will be shamwomen x2.

I've boosted with a 60 DK. I'm sure that if your bear had good blues, it wouldn't be too much different.

Something to be careful with if you have a lowbie healer in your group, they will be hard to keep threat against. I have used an 80 druid many times for boosting and a few heals from a lowbie has often caused a wipe as I get a random mob breaking aggro and killing the healer and often then turning on the rest of the lowbies.
There is nothing worse than having a huge pull kill your lowbies before you kill them and lose all the experience because the lowbies are dead

If you do a bunch of quests in Hellfire, your 60 bear will substantially gear up.
BC was a massive boost in gear, over classic wow.

I would think you'd be fine in SM.

And possibly be ok for a smaller pulls in ZF.
You cannot mount, everything will dismount you.
But as a bear, they cannot Hex you.

Instance until you cannot boost them further.
And then run them through quests, which will be very good experience too.

    Default Rethought

This is a few days late, but I JUST got done with my 78 Druid in SM. With the 78 naked (except for 2 heirlooms + heirloom weapon), I could easily do SM:Cath in 2 pulls. Note, that once I did lag some and died on the 2nd big pull, but that was just once out of, well, a LOT of big pulls.

Based on the above I recommend that you make sure you take a bit more time with it. Probably 7 to 10 pulls. First lower area, then clear courtyard in one or two pulls, then inner Cath, etc.

Also, ZF seems SO SLOW compared to SM, because you have to constantly maintain the group, that is, keep them close to you. Mobs aren't clumped nearly densely as SM. I say stay in SM till 45. Yes it's a bit more of a 'grind', but the pulls get so easy you can listen to music, watch TV, whatever.....

(Edited: I was way low on pulls in SM for a 60, and the rest of the post must have been typed while I was asleep!)

personally i would level the druid up in feral gear to mid 70s or even 80 then boost, the time you will be able to boost each instance will be a hell of alot faster than at level 60

SM cath should be no problem in under 10 pulls, possibly less.

Definitely do some outland quests for gear.
