    Default Keyclone question

Greetings all, I am new here. I looked to see if I could find an answer to my question, but alas I could not. If I missed it, I do apologize.

A friend of mine has been using Keyclone for quite some time, I have been listening to him rant and rave about how wonderful it is and what a great thing Multi-Boxing is, so I decided to take a leap of faith and try it myself. I downloaded the 24 trial of Keyclone as I wanted to make sure it works on my system and that leads me to my problem. Every so often Keyclone simply stops working. No beep, nothing, no keys being, well, cloned. I have the program in Task Manager and have to end task it to get it to stop then restart it. Is this Normal? Might it be something with me using a trial? I would hate to pay for something and it does not work, I hope you understand. I am using Windows 7 x86 32 bit. However Upgrading my machine next week to a 64 bit solution (more is better you know ).

    Thank you for your attention.

    Wink

I switched from Keyclone to IS Boxer, so haven't used Keyclone in about a month or so.

However, prior to that time, I did not experience freezing in Keyclone until I upgraded my system.
I still get the random freezing with IS Boxer too, so its not the boxing program per se.

In my case, one of the windows (usually a slave, but sometimes the hot/master toon) will freeze.
I can switch to another window by clicking on it, or using my PiP hotkey to switch.
But cannot switch back to the frozen window.
It won't close in task manager, or Alt F4 or right clicking on the task bar.
And once I close all of the wow windows, the keyboard and mouse stop working entirely.
Can restart keyclone or IS but it doesn't replace the locked window.
The toon eventually goes afk and logs out, but the window is still frozen.
The only solution to unfreeze it, is to reset my system or power off.

I'm not sure if that is the same issue you're having.
Prior to upgrading to the i7, I did not have this at all.

Doesn't sound healthy. Check what the "mute" key is in KeyClone, I think the default is Scroll Lock or Pause. You might be accidentally muting it which is turning broadcasting off. Usually when you mute there is a dialog window that pops up that shows "MUTE" in big green letters.

If you have the option on that auto focus the window you move the mouse into I don't think you can get the KeyClone dialog on top of that window no matter how many times you click the taskbar icon. You can't minimize the main window in this case either.

If it is really crashing and not responding at all then you can try posting on the KeyClone site. I have never had KeyClone just stop responding on me even after some marathon sessions with 5 instances and PiP switching like crazy. Now and then the PiP screws up but there are tricks to fix it.
