    Default screen and color resolution

I need to set my color resolution and screen bit depth each time I log in. Is there a way in WOW to fix it so it is in 16bit?

For some reason it always defaults each time to the highest and that slows down the game a bit with 5 instances running on a single machine

bit depth is slowing you down? hmm. most video cards today are optimized for 32 bit color (4 bytes).

if you are trying to shave some cpu/gpu cycles... look into maxfpsbk and maxfps.

those 2 will yield you the most benefit

try maxfpsbk 15 or less and maxfps 30 or higher.
i normally recommend 15 and 40. if you still need to save more, tweak the maxfpsbk lower since you aren't looking at hit most of the time anyhow.

    Default

The CPU with 4 wow instances open is running at about 50%. Once I get more RAM installed, I will add the 5th Wow window and I figure the CPU will move up to 55% or so.

What is bothering me is the default of running 4x Anti-Alasie (spelling) and 24-bit color and 24-bit depth on the small or minimized windows. I think if I can turn off the 4x Anti-Alaise and turn it down to 16bit color then maybe I can increase the maxfpsbk and make it less jumpy

Just want to optimise it all by removing the unnecessary "features" in the smaller clone character windows.
