Shammies have the best synergy together because you can use almost every totem if you wanted to. Not to mention people other than warriors with that spinny-whirly-thing-of-death can't get near you with staggered thunderstorm. Five groundings = dead casters before they can even damage you. And, like others have said, you can self rez and rez others. ...and I might be a little biased here, but troll females are teh sexy![]()

I started with 5x Shaman's.
But moved one shaman off of that team (into my mixed group).
And added a Prot Pally to this team.
Prot Pally + Shaman is a very easy to play and powerful group for PvE instances, heroics, dailies and quests. For arena, I'd recommend dropping the Pally and having a dedicated healer (played by someone else) while you control the shammies. For BG's, 5x Shaman would be the strongest, and 4x works well too.
Back in the Burning Crusade era, I geared a solo shammy in full BG gear. Playing 12-14 hours a day, this was three weeks of play time. With the ability to arena 10 losing games a week (don't even need to enter the arena), gear should come faster then that. But it gives an idea of the timeframe to gear them up.
I'm having the most fun with 5x Balance druids. You could PvE (heroics) with this team, by respecing (or dual-spec) one to Feral for tanking and one to Resto for healing. The Moo's have a lot of heroic video's in the movie section.
They're going to be very fun in battlegrounds once I've finished leveling them. Stealth via cat form, massive aoe power with Starfall, Hurricane and Force of Nature, Typhoon on round robin to keep melee away, Cyclone and Root as CC's, not to mention each can heal, rez and battle rez. They put out respectable dps, but definately lack the burst to excel in arena.
Dailies and quests will be a blast with these as they have strong sustained dps, strong aoe, decent heals and instant cast epic flight form.
I've tried 5x Hunters and 5x Disc Priests. Both teams worked, but neither were as fun as the Shammies or the Druids.
I've created 5x Warlocks (on the Horde; everything else I have is alliance), for something different, and think this team will be a lot of fun. I've named them after some of the worst diseases or biological agents out there, which I feel is a good theme for affliction warlocks. Ebola, Malaria, Cholera, Anthrax and Diphtheria; unfotunately had to use an ascii "a" for each of them.
Thank you all very much for the help I think I will start off with 5 shammies and move on from there <3
