    Default My fresh 10box raiding

A couple days ago I finished my 10 box group so I hit up my 1st two raids. The first night I cleared spider quarter in naxx.

My 5 guys that came from my 5 box pve team are in mostly 200 blues and epics. The fresh 80 shamans are in mostly lower 70s quest greens. They each have the 80 pvp necklace though. Afterwards I remembered they had a ton of honor so I hooked them up with the pvp cloak and gloves. So the raid as a whole is very undergeared.

I wiped on Anub'Rekhan about 6 times before figuring it out. The hardest part is that the adds join the fight at the same time as the boss does lucust swarm. Since the locus swarm silences the tank, the adds can't be taunted. If you have decent dps I suggest you just focus fire Anub. I got him to about 35% doing this with my dps'ers only doing 1200 or so average. I died from about 30 stackes of the adds' poison bolts eventually. I'm thinking if you can do 2k or so average dps on 6 guys you should be able to down him that way. I ended up just killing the adds then dpsing the boss.

I killed Grand Widow Faerlina on the first attempt. My strategy was to just aoe down the worshippers then heal through the bosses enrages. It worked just fine. The only problem I had was running around out of range so the worshippers would chase me and get in aoe range. Next time I will just line up(spread out so everyone doesn't take rain of fire damage) and run them all forward at the start.

Maexxna also went down in 1 shot. What I did when someone was wrapped was target the wrap have everyone assist me then interact with target to run to it and melee it down. They only have 6k hp so even caster melee doesn't take long. Then I would have them run toward the boss and start dpsing again. This way they stayed in a group and aoe healing was easy. The little spiders were sort of a problem and killed a couple of the dps. The consecration never worked on them.

Tonight I did OS and downed Sarth after a couple wipes. I took me 12 minutes to kill him since halfway through my 2 best dps of 5 were killed leaving my 3 nub shamans in greens to do all the damage. Best strat I found for him it to dps sarth when your guys are in the front because the flame waves. Just keep gathering the fire eles with the OT until you have to move to the back then dps them down back there.

I was actually surprised with my successes since earlier today my 2nd 5 man group couldn't even get past Ionar in heroic HoL. They wiped about 10 times getting there too. I'm going to try plague quarter tomorrow and maybe some normal 5 ToC to try to gear up the new 80s some to make it easier on me.

edit: oh and they each have both of the 200 epic caster rings off headless horseman.

    Congrats!

    I cannot imagine 10-boxing a 10-man encounter.
    But several have done it.

Smooth, I'm in your same boat! My 2nd team hit 80 last week. This week I mixed my two teams and did some heroics and some ToC. It was very hard with my 2nd team in ToC I didn't have the guts to try Naxx yet, but I will this week. I need to farm some cash for repairs. I am down to about 400g on all 10 toons, lol. Wiping in ToC is expensive.

My setup has a 2nd pally tank (dual specc'ed holy) instead of druid (though I am going to level my DK to 80 to alternate tanking duty with) and a hunter instead of 3x elemental shaman (I have 2).

I'm also broke. Since I leveled mostly in AV I don't have any gold and half of my guys don't even have flying. Soon I'll want to level up all the professions and that takes a ton of gold. Maybe I'll find some dailies that don't require flying or just empty out my guild bank and sell it all.

If you levelled in AV, you must have a ton of untouched normal quests left. These make a lot of gold, and are less boring than daylies.

My next team in 5 x Mage. I'm currently running it through Tundra and Fjord, which should get me to level 73. Then I'll be off to AV. I like the gold making potential of so many untouched zones when I hit 80.
