    Default Priests maybe viable?

    Priests

    • Power Word: Shield: This spell can now be cast on non-raid/party friendly targets.
    • Talents
      • Shadow
        • Improved Devouring Plague: This spell now deals 10/20/30% of its total periodic effect instantly, up from 5/10/15%.
        • Mind Flay: The range of this ability has been increased to 30 yards, up from 20.
        • Shadowform: This talent also now causes Devouring Plague, Shadow Word: Pain, and Vampiric Touch to benefit from haste. Both the period length and the duration of these spells will be reduced by haste. In addition, the mana cost has been reduced from 32% to 13% of base mana.
        • Vampiric Embrace: This talent now provides a 30-minute buff that cannot be dispelled, instead of a target debuff and only generates healing for single-target shadow damage spells.
So, the changes to priests are pretty good, and the healing buff from them now affects party healing for all single target shadow spells, instead of one target.. this could be pretty nice, considering in PvP you can dot several people up and then mind flay yourself to full.. idea? Maybe not as bad as before and worth a shot? I have Priests at lvl 61 maybe it's time to bust them out and see what they can do? Just a thought.

I'm a bit rusty on priests, since it's been around 2 years since I leveled one, but I am looking forward to starting up my priest team. The Mind Flay 30 yard range thing seems like a pretty cool way to slow an enemy from reaching you, while you DPS it down with other jobs.

Or just laying 5 Mind Flays on a target. haha. I'm guessing the movement speed debuff doesn't stack, but that'd be oh-so-glorious if it did

Back when blackout was still a talent I found running with 5 shadow priests quite enjoyable on a pvp server. You'd almost always stun your target between the initial SW:P followed up by mind flays.

    Pity they removed it.

But regarding these changes, yeah, they are sweet. The change to VE is great since you can focus laying down damage sooner by skipping it.

blackout was so awesome ... I've got 5 priests at 80 and was almost able to stun-lock a single target till he was dead (which didn't take long). I spec'd them all disc in an attempt to do arena's, but am failing miserably (combination of bad gear, bad strategy, and disc = bad firepower). I am planning on speccing them all back to shadow. It was so much fun running BG's at 80 as full shadow - mind sear is just awesome.

The changes are really good - but one of the best changes (besides VE), is the mana cost of the dots - down by almost 20%! I would run OOM so fast when trying to apply dots to multiple targets - this will be a huge help ... i was always drinking after a 2-3 person fight ...

During RAF, a set of Discipline Priests was leveled to 60th.
Honestly, I really enjoyed this team.
Fairly hard to choose Druids over Priests for my next group.

I realize these buffs are Shadow.
You could even have both specs, and mix and match as desired.

Great! It may just be what brings me back to WoW, Aion is fun, but I have decided the fundamental gameplay of waiting 1-2 seconds for any actions to be taken is a huge bore and I have no interest in playing anymore.
