Hello,
New to the forum. I was interested in trying this out; however, i would have to use 2 friends accounts. They are alright with it, but is it possible for them to get banned because of me playing their characters?

It is possible (there are some rules in the EULA which forbid the sharing of your account data) and because you will be mulitboxing, a few people will notify a gm, who will look at you closer...
You can try out multi-boxing by sending yourself some trial invites directly from the account admin page.
First of all mate welcome to the forums,
ok as its been said, playing with other peoples accounts is against the rules, and is a bannable offence, i dont think you would be too popular if you lost 2 friends accounts.
as a rule mate never give out your gameing details to anyone i know it sounds obvious but ive done it given my details to a friend so he could use my character to craft things when ever he felt, end result was perminant ban of that account, phoned up and they said its eplained in the rules so i was stuck really.
if your intrested in just trying out boxing, i would recomend first of all getting yourself 2 or 4 trial accounts, can be gotten a number of ways best one is to just mail yourself useing your main account some 10 day trial passes, this will allow you 10 days to check it out should you decide to play activateing these accounts will give you 30 days per account of free play on your main account. (if you go to account managment on the warcraft website its in their somewhere)
keep your details safe mate, you can never be too careful with them, if you are careless with them dont be supprised if somthing bad happens as it often does, ive lost 2 accounts thru not looking after my details.
Ive been playign 1 acc that i dotn own and 3 i own and im lvl 38 and havent been banned XD but then again you can get banned wen your lvl 70

playing with matches mate just cus you havent been burnt yet doesnt mean your immune to fire.Originally Posted by Skuggomann

i can pretty much garantee that you will get someone report you and a gm investigates this and just bans everything. might not happen for ages but its going to happen at some point. dont take the risk mate unless your not that bothered.
Playing with accounts which are not yours is like cheating on your taxes:
It seems ok until you get caught.
Sure, you can find a lot of people who say "I use a friend's account and I have had no problems". But, I would encourage you to lurk in the official customer service forums for a few days and you will see that
1) Blizzard is pretty clear on the TOS in this case
2) Blizzard rarely unbans accounts. The few instances I have seen have been true mistakes (characters with similar names and such).
So, the question to ask is: is it worth the risk IF you get caught?
