Thread: Following issue

  1. #1

    Default Following issue

I've taken a look through the threads here and I havn't seen anything about this, but here it goes. I trying out a 2 box, I've gotten the broadcasting and macros down but I have trouble with following. when I am running to find the next mobs the follow does folllow, but then gradually falls behind until he stops following then I have to run back and pick him up. I don't now if its a connection issue or a hardware issue, my latency sits at like 50ms and both toons run at ~30 FPS. I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Do you have any buffs/enchants on the driver (leader) that would cause him to be only *slightly* faster than your slave? Increased runspeed on the boots for example...
Resto Shaman + 4 DK's, work in progress...

nope, running a preist, mage at level 9 atm so no speed buffs or enchants.

Check your talents, I had the same problem with my team, my Pally was getting a speed increase from a Ret talent.
Prot Pally • Destro Lock • Holy Priest • Boomkin • Arcane Mage

Heroic Bosses Down: Moorabi • Kologorn • Ormorock • Prince Keleseth • Eck

My roommate used to play a mage as his main.
And running anywhere, he'd blink as often as possible.

Unfortunately, with 2 or 3 boxing, blink puts you just a bit out of follow range.
Not sure if you have anything like that.

Either its lag or there is a buff on the master.

If you follow the slave and don't have problems, I would bet its a lag issue.

That said I used to have this problem a lot before I had decent hardware, it only occurred on mounts (pre-flying) and carrot and a stick on the slaves only was enough to cure it.
